Thread: Modifiying single cabs for giants?

I'm 6'6" and have a std cab short bed ranger. My question is that if I cut the lower section of the cab below the rear window away is that technically not a "production" cab anymore? I need to kick my seat out 2 to 3inches and plan on sheet metaling around the b pillar to seal it back up somewhat. Any input on this?

Putting the “B” pillar and “X” out the back will save you a lot of room.
