Default Fab Schools or welding classes

Hey guys I was just curious if they had any type of fab schools or welding classes in AZ that people could go to. Im somewhat self taught but I would like to broaden my horizons.

You learned TIG there? I took the honeywell welding class there for an intern job at Honeywell and all we did was cut plates with the torch and stick welded. We didnt even get to MIG tell like the last 2 weeks, we actually started getting in trouble because it was soo boring. We would go under the booths and weld the kids chair to the stand if it was touching.

hahaaha that's hilarious. i actually learned to tig pretty much on my own at my dad's shop. i think i only went 4 nights and was on my own schedules cuz i told the teacher what I WANTED to learn so one night he taught me basics of mig. next night taught me basics of tig. (and i mean VERY basics of both). other 2 nights i just fucked around and welded some shit i needed to for my truck and then never went back haha. it was a joke but to get the basics it works. otherwise, just practice and that's how you get better

I hear MCC has a good welding program with a pretty new good sized shop. I think their classes run somewhere around $75 a credit hour.
