Try a decent pressure washer, up close and it *Should* chip it off. Acetone?

honestly there isnt anything your going to do to them that will mess them up beyond recognition..

the best part about Aluminum is its ability to polish back to a gorgeous shine..

if it gets scratches.. workin your way up in Wetsand grits will bring it back to a perfect shine...

if your willing to dismount the wheels/tires it would probably make things easier..

    x2.
Start with a heavy grit wetsand, and as it comes off work your way to fine grit. Finish off with a Mothers Powerball and some Mag polish and they will bling.

Or just take them in to get powdercoated, because they sandlbasted mine before they coated them. Or get them converted to beadlocks, then powdercoat.

    None of those!

Jasco Paint Stripper, you can buy it at home depot... works fuckin awsome. Burns if you get it on your skin, cleans up with water.

Used it on my beams and radius arms to get off a couple nasty, thick coats of paint and primer.

Might take a couple applications depending how thick the paint is. Secret is, put it on and let it sit for like 10 or 15 min. then the paint just falls off.

    x2 for Jasco.

It won't get all of it off though. Come through with a gallon of Acetone and go to town.

Then begin wet-sanding with super fine paper and step down, it will make for a much nicer finish once you begin polishing.

Buy a power-ball and use mothers mag polish. Those Alcoa wheels will look like mirrors with a little work.

    I have done this before.

Will brake cleaner work? I had rattle canned the blazer and would use brake cleaner to clean it off and check it out and repaint.

OMF and CHAMPION both quoted me about $200 a wheel done out the door.

WHOA, that shit is nasty!!!!!! I used it to strip the factory clearcoat off my ar-23's. Use in the open air NOT in an enclosed area, wear thick long rubber gloves and some sort of chemical filter for breathing. It works wonders but is some brutal shit. I believe it is originally used as aircraft paint stripper? I like how when you open the container and then close it all the fumes cause the can to suck in on itself lol
