i've been looking for some glass fenders both front and back and I'm wondering which one's are better fiberwerx or glassworks?
I can't tell you about Fiberwerx, but I can tell you about my experience with Tim at Glassworks Unlimited. I ordered fenders and bedsides w/ a gas fill inlet from Glassworks for my 2009 Tundra Double Cab. I spoke to Tim over the phone and sent a follow-up email to him about what I wanted and if there were any questions. To make a long story short the fenders were fine, but the bedsides I received were for a Crewmax and not a Double Cab.Tim apologized for the mistake and said that he would have his guys jump on molding the correct size bedsides and sent out to me. In one of Tim's emails that he sent to me he said that they just finished my bedsides and he would personally ship them to me. I made multiple attempts to contact Tim and he wouldn't return my emails or phone calls. I sent an email letting Tim know that if he wasn't going to send the bedsides I ordered then I was going to seek legal action against him. He sent me a tracking number a few days later for the new bedsides. When I received the new bedsides they were the correct size, but they didn't mold a gas fill inlet into the one. I called and emailed Tim to let him know that the drivers side bedside was missing the gas fill inlet. Tim sent an email that he would send a gas fill inlet to have fab'd into the bedside and he would call the body shop to explain what needed to be done. Tim never sent the gas fill inlet or call the body shop like he said. I had the body shop cut the gas fill inlet from the original bedsides out and mold it into the bedside that was the correct length. Also forgot to mention that both shipments that I received had damage (cracks) from not being packed properly and bubbles in the glass. I recommend that you stay away from a companies that have poor quality, customer support and lie to their customers like Glassworks Unlimited and owner Tim Gerwatosky. Send me a PM with your email and I'll forward a chain email to you of correspondence between Tim and myself so you can see for yourself. I have nothing to hide. By all means let Tim know too that I'm telling everyone how he screwed me. He cost me money to have his crap fixed so it's only fair that I do the same to him in return. Do a google search and you'll see that there are a lot of people that got screwed. There are other companies out there who sell fiberglass and if possible pay with an American Express. They have a one year protection plan so if you do get screwed Amex will refund the money.
