Tom
looks bitchin! is that ride height or is that where it's gonna sit
what do ya think?
What do ya think?
The front tires might stick out forward a lil bit on the manx
or....

its going to sit a lil bit higher. The springs that I have for the front are a bit too light

Would look sick
Tom
Im thinking the truck too, the price is almost about the same between the manx body from MGM FRP and the truck body from Mcneil. I might have to shorten the bedsides, but that wouldnt be that big of a deal I dont think.
That truck body is from Mcneil? Looks rad, what is the cost and wheel base for it?

1,500. I think they said the wheel base was 120"
I dont think its going to work for me. unfortunately there will be a big gap between the mid-rail and the door's. They said I can drop the car off with them and they could find something that could fit or make it work, but the catch is that I would have to take and drop the car off @ their shop......................................in Mexico

It looks like the geometry of those a arms will not work. Is that really how far they had to lay down those shocks? I love the look of the chassi. Put a baja body on it and people will crap their pants. If you do the truck body it will be one of a hundred other trucks out in the desert. Baja's look the coolest hands down.
I'm with bajablood, Baja body.

it must have to do with the 45* angle he puts in the arm at the end of the bottom arm. If it was less theoretically the shock would be angled more upright. I am just typing out loud and trying to justify why 1. he would lay the shocks down so far and 2 why he would put such a sharp bend otherwise known as a shear point near the end of the lower a arm.

That "kind" of a bend is fairly common in a-arm cars but not to the extreme that his are done. The bend helps to put the shock mount below the top plane of the arm and lowers shock mounts. On some of Mosebilts older cars the front shocks were stood up and the shock mounts looked like they were mounted off of the 3rd floor balcony.

the first 2 are deff dual sports, the last one Im not sure about if its just a sand queen or something else
Mosebilt cars are def over built with more then sand in mind.
not much progress to report. I did drop it off @ MoseBilt to get a few odds and ends wrapped up. Light bar, charlynn, 4 wheel alignment
Good news it fits on my trailer!
also finished up my dash
Hopefully Ill be picking it up after the offroad expo. Then I get to wire it all up and finish the brake lines.
Is it done and what body did you go with? Who did the turbo kit? Thanks
Not done yet unfortunately, its sitting over at MoseBilt Offroad waiting on me to pick it up. The body idea has been put on hold, tyring to get the car finished first. The turbo kit was made fabbed by someone @ Venom performance I think, the motor came out of a sand car that they had from what I have been told
A lil update. 4 wheel Alignment done, fuel tank welded, limit strap mounts done, charlynn mounted, upgraded rack & pinion to a piranha rack from RBP, light bar complete, intercooler & radiator hardlines are being welded as we speak. All I have left is to acquire a pair of 3"x450lbx12" springs, odyssey battery, and some axles

Looking good man. Its going to be a lot of fun. Looks like they are doing you right over there. Has their time line been on track?

Nice job! Mosebilt is the shit!
How big are those rear arms? How much wheel travel are you pulling front/rear? I've got a build I'm working on that looks to have similar amount of travel to yours in the front. I'm trying to figure out what I should put in the rear, I like the look of those trailing arms.
na
Finally got to work on the buggy this weekend! not much progress, but the front is all done!
steering all done, dash is all wired, main harness is finished just need to hook up to the ECU. If my battery shows up soon, this thing might be a runner by christmas!
full droop. thats where its going to be strapped. 22" is where Im going to leave it, it will hang down to 24" but the lower coil buckets are danger-close to hitting the lower arms

Cv angle will dictate the rear travel #s and style of hubs. Are the arms set for midboard hubs?

Good time of day.
interested in the following: what is the angle of in version of the wheels?
what ball joints are used in stead of ball bearings. What marks these bearings?
what kind of track width and the distance between the axes of the wheels?
I wrote you a private message, please answer.
Thank you.
