    Default mini buggy/sandrail

    so now that i've finally moved offpost i want to build one. been kicking the idea around for a while. couple of questions. any of you guys ever build one? seen any cool ones? i looked around online and found desert karts and badland buggys that sell the plans. i want this thing to be like a honda pilot on steroids. single seater, street bike engine, everything. looking to spend around 5k to build it. What do you guys think? anyone got any pics?

    the rear suspension/drivetrain is going to be the most expensive part not including the engine. 5K is a very tight budget...just because its small doesnt mean cheap. I'd look for a frame with the more important parts already on it personally. I saw a new main bearing IRS carrier with 930 flanges for sale online selling for $850. What engine you planning on using?

    i wanna use some sort of 600cc street bike engine. i can find one out here pretty cheap. it would be great to find a frame and everything but i'm in nc. probably gonna end up spending more. i figure its better to build something than just drink my money away around here. this town blows!!

    fits all but the power and price but how manny times have you built things and gone 1700 or more over budget? i'm guessing more than once,

    Brad, if I had the money to build I would!!! Im just looking to build somehing so that I could learn more about fabbin stuff and to pass the time. All the stuff around here is mud bogging and rock crawlin. I need somethin small that could haul ass in these woods. Gonna start on something after I finish my bed cage on the ranger.

    yeah i still want one of those trophy karts they are bad ass and i like the look of the truck, they said the 450rs does like 90mph seems like fun, but i'd but like a 8-14 gallon fuel cell on it for good run time
