Yeah what mikey said. I had to add resivours, but the hoses McKenzies sold me were wrong, so they leaked like the titanic. With out much pressure or fluid, there was nothing to get hot!

I did race against a car built very similar to mine. Single 10" fox coilover up front and a single 2.5" in the rear. He said the front was fine all race, but the rear faded (they zip tied ice packs to the shocks and it helped!).

It is amazing what a difference 2 shocks vs 1 per corner have on spring rate. My 12 car has much lighter springs than your car and I am confident that I am driving my car much harder than you are. But with a second shock all you use the spring for is to hold the weight of the car.

Next time you are at a race push on the front end of a single coilover car and then do the same on a coilover/bypass car. One will be stiff as a board and the other will be nice and cushy.

Pahl, those front shocks were hot the first lap, but after that, they were nice and cool. I checked them almost each lap. I cant wait for the rear end to be done. Will be nice to see a rear end that can keep up with the front.

Yeah was up and running for one day (the race) and is not being rebuilt again! We finished the MDR Ridgecrest 200. 6 laps of amazing fun. Front end will get rebuilt next weekend, then back out to my sisters house to get all new rear suspension and tranny.

I still tow it with the tow bar but not as much. Yes if your car's tires are touching the road, it has to be street legal. Now that I am moving out and can keep the trailer at my place, I will use that almost 100% of the time though.

As WannaB-Class5 said yes as long as your tires hit the pavement it should be street legal. But I have towed mine with a tow bar and the cops havnt cared, some have actually given me thumbs up.. Just make sure it looks legit (safety chain, tow lights ect. )

Mines still plated and insured. "604BAJA" costs me about 500 a year for registration and liability only, so siiiiiiick. Thinking about turn signals and a plexiglass windshield amoung other things after the Night Race and/or PP to drive it around the street.

what is your max angle at full droop right now! when I had that set up with reg stub axles i had close to 17" with 3x3`s and 930 cv`s that i counter bored a 1/4" on the hub side!also did you trim off the lower spring plate bump stop! if you shave off 1/2" to 3/4" of the lip off the lower and trim the plate alittle you can get more! also, r you runnin a 10 degree kit?
Plus what someone else mentioned, position sensitive front are the way togo in the front!!

I could get a good 17" with 28* and bump almost on the dirt. I am leaving a conservative amount of space at bump and limiting the CV's to 26* at full droop. 15" front and rear should be just fine AND reliable. Yes I cut out all the stock droop and bump limits. I do have the PS shocks for the front but that requires a lot more fab. If I can't get my one fox to work well I may go that route.

An off-road toy is NEVER complete! Just the major upgrades are in place so this is her final look if you will. I will be racing in 1465 this race! so the car wont be out there. Thanks for the comments everyone. BTF can work a bug as well as trucks.

Also, if anyone wants to help, Clean-Dezert will be putting up a snow fence at the rockpile at 10AM on Saturday.

I still don't have a picture but no, not good. I split it open under the knee and have a 4"x4" road rash gash below that. I fell trying to get out of the way of an on-coming truck at the Night race when we DNF'd. Lots of blood and my firesuit is no more

As mentioned, Dielila (thats her name) will have her first trip with the new set up September 26-27th in Ocotillo. IF its still too hot I may move it to the high desert but there will be a trip that weekend. Any and all are invited!
