Even thought Mikey thought he wanted out of the truck world, it didn't take long for him to build that Bronco...I think the bucky is on the back burner now. Come on Mikey, whats up!
Looks like it might be going to another GFO team member.
Right now in life I want to go to the desert more, spend less time working on my own stuff and more time working on customer's projects, get back out of my parents house and back out on my own (this time with my own garage) and having two desert vehicles is hindering me.
Originally I was building the bronco as a tow/chase vehicle that the wifey could drive, but unfortunately shit went sour between us (something I don't really want to talk about). So I am just trying to simplify my life and move on.
Mike
RIP Jon Butler
You will never be forgotten!
Sorry about all the other stuff Mikey, but if it stays in GFO it will go to a good home and I approve.
So I've been doing all this tearing down and rebuilding for nothing? What a huge waste of time and money. My motor builder is going to be pissed.

We obviously did a lot more than that. The key to the Mini 12 is that it weighs nothing but has "big car" parts so they didnt get torn up like a heavier car IE bearings, bushings and all that. The motor got a valve job, leak down, carb rebuild, gaskets, and a dyno tune every year and thats it. Never had an issue with the trans until BAP two years ago when I blew out second working all three pedals at once going into corners.
So were all the 2 AM torque wrench sessions when you guys werent there haha.
So I'm the happy new owner of the mini 12.. I took it out last weekend and it was so much fun I very happy with it...
But the only problem I had was it kept sticken in third u couldnt pull it out unless u stalled it out any tips would be helpful I'm learning about VW s still
Thanks josh
congrats. Maybe start at the beginning, try adjusting the shifter, then move to linkage, then if its still not good kill you're self, and take the trans to a trans shop. 1 G plus parts and you are good to go.

Beat me to it. Check the shifter since its fairly new and probably needs to be adjusted. Check the slave cylinder and make sure its still in two pieces, should have some paint pen markings on it unless it came off. Bleed it too maybe? I noticed youve got Bajas on there too, thats a lot of weight and traction for a 002 trans. For what its worth, the dudes I got the car from ran 33x10.5 Maxxis tires and the trans didnt last as long as the Yokos. Mikey has my number so feel free to give me a call but Im sure Mikey knows about as much as I will.
Thanks man Mikey and I did the shifter thing in the desert it helped a lil but it didn't fix it..... he told me he just replaced the tranny I was reading his to adjust the linkage so I think I'm going to try that this weekend
Thanks josh
ya the bajas are pretty heavy I think I might go to 33×10.50 AT ..
Thanks tmorf u guys did a great job on the car it will make a great toy I just don't know what I'm going to do to it
s pretty muched dailed...
Thanks josh
Yeah I got a little too sick working all three pedals into corners at BAP and it hadnt been serviced in 2 years... haha. I think he put another 002 from Kevin in there. Stoked its still out there. I want a ride though, never sat bitch in it for the 2 plus years I owned it unless you count my mom testing for the Puff haha.
For sure man...we all have to go on a trip after u get the 4.0 back in the truck hows all that working out for you?
Mini 12 is looking good with the roof rack and new bumpers. I'm a fan.
This thing hung like a champ this weekend. We are trying to get Tiffany (Josh's lady) to race it in the puff.
The trans currently in the Mini 12 did come from me. I ran that thing for years with 35's and a much heavier car. I wouldnt worry about the Baja T/A's that much.......unless you are going to race it. If you are I would recommend Super Diggers!
Stuck in 3rd sounds like a misadjusted shifter that led to an over throw of the gear.

Have all the parts and coolers I need for the C4 swap. Just need to order the internals for motor and trans and fab up a few things. Might pick up a built C4 and keep my stocker for a spare or sell it. Just need time really.
10-4, figured it was the one out of the prerunner when you went to a Weddle gear box.
I'm looking in to getting a green sticker for the mini 12 I have a bill oh sell but its never been registered.... what would be the easiest way to do this any info would help
Thanks josh
Not sure how that works but its been in a ton of races...
I gave Mikey a ton of receipts and the car has a VIN on the passenger side torsion tube from Chenowth. Just take it all to the CHP and go that route via the DMV.
Cool thank you guys I want to take the mini 12 out and not have to worrie about it!
Oh and a cool update it looks like I'm going to have a sweet wrap and the wheels are going to be getting powder coat any idea what color I should do the rings
whats going on josh? rad to see youre on here. im the short guy that keeps popping up at elliots then has to leave a few minutes later hahaha
Not much .... ya I have been on here for a long time but I never post... how r u doing man ?
Dang, this car is a slut. She gets around.

Search Green Sticker on the DMV site. It's WAY easier than you think. Some paperwork, some reciepts and the DMV will stick a vin on it (sounds like you have one) and bam, green sticker. No CHP involved if you don't want a plate, and no special constructed permit required (good luck getting one of those anyway).
