Thread: 2003 XR50 Motor Help & Manual

Last week when changing the oil on my bike I didn't bother to look down under my bike to notice there were 2 bolts. Well I unscrewed the bolt next to the oil bolt and out came shooting a spring and a pin of some sort with holes drilled through it. (holes to possibly allow oil to pass through). I should've not been lazy and looked so this is what I get!

1) Does the pin goes back in do these holes have to face a certain direction?
2) Anybody have access to manual online for free? Where I can download or print this?

I believe my motor has the 88 Race Head/Carb Big Bore Kit from 50caliber racing.

Any ideas is helpful.

my buddy made the same mistake before on his crf 70. we installed the pin again but could not get the spring to go in properly. we pulled that stater off and removed the spring again which got caught it the timing chain on the crank. The spring works to help spring the shifter back after shifting up or down. we didnt notice to much of a difference after removing it.
