Thread: DR 4.0 Is Live

After pulling an all nighter, and being up for over 40 hours…. DezertRangers 4.0 is up and running. We hope you enjoy the new site. You will notice there is a chat room now. You can find the link under the top banner. There is now a blog section… so post a blog! We are still making adjustments to the site, but just wanted to get it up for you to use.



Also, the home page is not up yet, but we are working on it. Stay tuned for the new homepage within the week. There is so much more to come and we cannot wait to get it all going. Thank you for sticking with us all this time. We really appreciate all the members of DR. Without you this site would be nothing.


Lastly, keep an eye out for new moderators starting in the next week. We hope to improve not only the site’s appearance, but the way the site is run. Let us know what you think!

We have not had time yet to come up with all the rules for the chat room, so please behave yourselves in the chat room for now

No advertising or disrespect. Also, there is one room for off-topic discussion (the lounge) and one for truck discussions (tech talk).

If you notice anyone causing trouble please pm DR Staff with their SN and a copy of what they wrote.

if it werent for this site being down, i wouldnt have studied as much as i did for finals this coming week. site looks good, great job jeanette and jeremy!

i like it other than the small little things that need to be fixed likke the menu list

its not bad. i got used to vb4 on another forum the past week or so. i like the colors.

I like it. I hated the RDC Update version but i got use to it and dont have any issue now

Got some technical shenanagins on Safari

Double vision at the bottom of the picture and a clusterfuck of a menu to the left.

Thanks for posting that. It will help us work out the bugs

same here Firefox works fine though

I miss being able to click anywhere near the topic and it taking me automatically to the first new posting of the thread.I know there is a small button but it is not as quick as the other way.

yes will take a little adjustment, even a little weird for me. in the long run this will be much better as i am going to improve more over time.

The way the attachments are on this version is way better. That alone is awesome

One of my other forums has recently switched to this same layout. Will take a little adjusting to

Yeah, losing that sucks. Took me a bit to find the button, not as good as it was previously. The menus are all wonky on Safari, but otherwise, v4 seems just fine.

We don't like that either. We will fix it

im just happy i can get on here again. 2 days of no dr sucked. hahaha. looks good.

Looks great one problem though can't read other users posts but can read the threads they've created.

I'm not a fan of the colors, the topics are too hard to read vs. the notes under them. That's my biggest gripe right now. I'm sure I'll find more

Bingo!

its a little too bubbly ....
kind of hard to scroll fast and separate the different posts from different people
the line between the post and the sig should be a little bit more profound

the picture on the top is cool, will just take alittle bit more time for loading on people with slow connections.

Looks a lot better, but the little things will take some getting used to..

its just diffrent it will work fine.

It's always a little tough when things change up, but over time I'm sure it will prove to be better than it was.
