04 Silverado Luxo-Runner

Finally gonna start a thread on this

Bought the truck From Colin Stuffman last year (hes on here no clue the screen name)

truck came with
Camburg LT kit wilth billet uppers up
10in dual rate kings
sway away 2.0x 4 bumps
glassworks hood and front fenders
Deaver f87s with bilsteins in the rear
gibson headers and super trucks muffler
hypertech
air raid intake with throttle body spacer
trimmed front bumper and skid plate with 2 piaa lights

the kit and rear was installed at camburg and this is the truck from thier website in the pics for the LT kit and the 6.5 kit

Since then many mods hav been made

Pulled 3" and trimmed bedsides (ditched the rear bumper)
BMS shackels
tubed front bumper
blacked out bowtie

MAN! I'm jealous! Such a clean truck. Does the front end still wander off while driving? Any future plans for it?

Since then the entire front kit was taken off and sold(dirt cheap) to make way for a boneyard kit. Boneyard fucked me and took my money and went under without giving me the front kit i paid for. the rear suspension was also take off and sold to the same guy.

So here is where im at now my truck goes in to BBR oct 16 for a new kit and engine cage

Plans for the truck now

Front end
BBR front LT kit with shock towers and engine cage
King 2.5 x 10in dual rate c/o
King 2.5 x 10in triple bypasses
King 2.5 x 2 bumps
BMS 2.25 race hubs with 12.9"wilwood rotors and 4 piston calipers
Modified Stock rack
Boneyard one Piece front clip

Rear End
Gmr Fab Full floater with schriener hubs 11" wilwood rotors and 4piston calipers
GMR front and rear hangers
BMS custom short shackels
true trac with 5.29 gears
King 2.5x 18in triple bypasses
king 2.5x 4 bumps
bedcage with dual upright spares
still deciding between deavers SUS or custom giant 64s
custom 8" besides

Trans
Fully built culhane 4l60e with 2400stall converter and anti-ballon plate
PWR trans cooler with 12" SPAL fan

Motor
New cam and

Rims and tires
6 17" KMC enduros real bead locks
6 37" Generals Grabbers

I road in that truck when colion had it and it was a smooth ride when he put the new deavers on it does it still have that water holding hood on it jk hope you get it all going here soon

dude i think you rode in it when i first got it or it was ur brother idk like 4 dudes from taft came out cuz ur brother was having paul doing a bed cage in that ranger with the beams and we took it bu the train tracks and skyed it over that 75" table and landed flat bottom and blew the rear drives tire. hahahah nah i drilled the hood so it drained.

Yes im suppppppper impressed with the BBR kit and ross and im gonna be testing out a new version on the kit and putting it threw its paces. i feel that its its more stout than alot of the other chevy kits out the and its design for 37s which i think only mazzulla and Velocity (fugitive) had until the kibble tech and brethel kits came out

Yea I was in it to I had shotty lol but yea fucked off the tire on the fender lol clean truck tho I want a silvi so bad for my kids and myself something like yours a good DD and still able to take it out .

yah i went and pulled the bedside more after that lol. yah im just gonna do it like a luxo runner/ chase truck. a very tucked full legal cage with all the fatory interior custom dash and 4 seater tt style bumper with 4 lights and then im done

yah oildale tire was the only place in town willing to fix it. its good to go now. ill be chasing for the giant guys just helpin out til paul gets his truck done then ill chase for him.

forgot the camera but i dropped the KMCs at BMS to hav them redrilled for 5/8" wheel studs and picked up my 6 NEW General Grabber

save money and dont build a 4l60e, just swap a 4l80e

run a higher stall like 3000

you will need a tune with a cam, you have the 5.3?
you can get 30 rwhp with a proper tune and another 30 from a cam, i would also do some headers

or just swap a different motor

x2 on the 4l80e. same thing in the ultimate backyard chevy IIRC. id run a lower stall to reduce heat.

nah i hav already sat down at Culhane trans and im confindent that they can build the 4l60 to hand the power i put down. he said they hav many trucks with 600+ hp on the 4l60. and the converter specs and trans im leave up to him they build trans for million dollar TTs im sure he can do a legit one one my truck. and im not paying for the trans i hav that Getmogi extended vehicle warrenty and already made a claim cuz i did blow the trans up so they are cutting a check for a "all new trans" and the shop is just gonna use it on internals and a rebuild

i hav the 4.8 and already hav gibson headers on it but will be switching to long tube headers. this is just stage 2 of my build so the superchips will work for now the next stage is a custom turbo kit new heads and sum other goodies but thats after the next fire season. i hav no plans on goin with a bigger motor i hav seen 135hp per Liter out of this motor turbo'd and he ran it for 3yrs no problems. i come from import racing and so this what i prefer cuz i know how use the engine management software such as UNIChip and AEMs stand alone units and also mega squirt. but enventually the 4l80 will be needed. one of the reasons im doin the build this way is when i get new and better parts i sell the other badass parts to my little brother for cheap so he can build his silvi.

turbos are terrible!!!!
on a v8 atleast,thats just dumb but oh well

i have seen people drop 6k into a 4l60e and still take a shit, there is no comparison to the 80e, i would take a stock 80e over a built 60e
stock stall is like 12-1500, dont let them use a tci verter theres better ones
keep the import stuff with the imports,i came from hondas before my trucks but i would never mix the two, are you going to build the motor for turbo or just slap it on and go?
if you need computer stuff you can just have your comp flashed for anything when your ready, there are many companies that have mail order programs, or find a good tuner near you, you could even write your own program with efi live
