im running 5/8 gr8 u bolts. i had never really looked to closely at the prches, im guessing they had slowly been cracking. i was laying under it looking at the leafs and noticed it.

god speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8-14
thanks man, i always think about that on the drive home. i just got done jumping and driving the shit out of it and now im doing 75 on the freeway with my dirtbike in the back lol
raced on 9/16" deaver u-bolts and tc plates......never had a problem........but i never really beat my truck or anything so.......lol
also note that the u-bolts were replaced every race as part of spring prep.
I am bending u-bolts too..........that's because I took out so many leafs and didn't trip the ubolts up so they hang low lol.
Truck was going good this weekend Andrew. Wanted to nerf you (pre dnf tranny) but I wasn't sure if you had something out back I could nerf haha

thanks man.
no, didnt get around to building a bumper yet. hopefully ill have a bumper in the next few weeks.
when we went on that run when you guys got there my truck was handling HORRIBLY, worst it has ever been. sat afternoon i got it alot better but still isnt right.
I didn't even realized that was you on the jump tour! lol truck looked real good on the last stop.
thanks man, that last jump spot i literally felt nothing...well untill i hit the road crossing alittle fast lol
So did the bleed screws help out in the front shocks at all? I realized over the weekend I need waaay more damping and that's tempting to do.
I do believe I saw you at the clean up....didn't recognize the truck until I finished reading up on your build.
Did I mention its fully tig-welded?
update: getting realllllly tired of having no power...i think it has lost some power recently. pissing me off only being able to do 50 up moderate hills. o and absolute max speed in the dirt this weekend was 57mph, that was foot to the floor for a solid mile.
wish i could wake up one day and have a v6
dont really want a 302.
if i could have any motor i wanted it would be the 4.0 lexus V8. looking at the 3.4s though.
really dont mind the 22re in the dirt to much, but hate it on the freeway esp with my dirtbike and all my camping shit. cant really talk shit on it though, that thing wont die no matter how hard i drive it. its even been running hot on the last 2 trips, runs about 205 on the freeway but keeps going.
edit: other thing pissing me off is how shitty its been running, for the last 2 weeks half the time i stop it wont idle, just shakes and dies but as soon as i get home and go to show my dad how bad its running, what do you know it idles smoother then it ever had WTF?!?!
o ya rear main seal on the motor start leaking this weekend too, probably from being hot and being above 4k RPM for almost 100miles straight.
cant go wrong with the 22r/re but they do lack power and the 3.4 is an easy swap but time consumeing

ya, kinda thinking about buying an old 22re and building it with higher compression pistons and bored like .40 over, stroker crank maybe just something mild to increase the power a bit then slap my head on it since it has some nice valve springs, cam and just had a valve job.
idk though cant make up my mind, guess ill drive it till it blows then see what happens.
Build a mild motor.
Do a cage first. 50mph is too fast for your cage.![]()
built some new rear shock hoops, measured the travel with my old ones and it was actually maybe 13" if my bumpstop compressed alot lol.
i know have 15.25 to the bump stop and probably 15.5-15.75 on hard hits. looks wayyy better too
pics hopefully tomorrow.
o ya also another new axle with a Detroit locker
thanks to TC Yota.....if you read this, sorrrrryy about not getting you those measurements, by the time i got up this morning i had to go to the airport then HF was already closed when i remembered. i will probably be going to the shop tomorrow so ill get them for you then.
You bought tylers old rear end? Well it's in good shape since he drives like a little girl.
Seriously though coming out to the dash Andrew?

forgot about untill after it was dark. hopefully ill remember tomorrow. its less badcage and more shock hoops. i like it ALOT though, freed up room for dirtbikes and stuff.
doesnt your camera have a flash?
didnt buy any, decided money could be better spent else where. getting about 15.5" of travel though, only had like 13 when you rode in it, should help.
