With uppers and torsions your 31's will still rub, not too bad though.

With my 6 over arms, my 33x10.50s still rub on a turn/bump. I'm not sure how much it's lifted, but if I had to guess it's about 4-6 inches. A lift spindle is pretty much crucial for these trucks when you start getting serious with the suspension. My next front end is going to be 3 inches wider and 3 inches taller.

my 33s dont even come close to rubbing now, i have a monster truck. 3" body lift, 3.5" wider duffco kit, 3.5" lift spindle. pretty sure i could clear 35s pretty easily.

i ended up picking the 32/38 cal legal one (well legal for pre 85) will see if i can get it to pass smog when time comes. it uses the stock intake also. i need to get a better fuel pressure regulator and i should be set. drove it out to El Cajon yesterday to pick up some tubing and it ran great. more power for sure also. the only problem i have now is the clutch is slipping. the PO put in a new one around 1k miles ago, but seems he bought a 50buck one as its crap. might pick up a centerforce 2 setup soon

ya no need for a centerforce. stock replacement ( LUK brand is suppose to be good) and you will be fine.

started working on a rear bumper. just need something simple. will have a hitch also.
 stupid IMS sells receiver stock. got that cut it so it would fit and drilled a hole for the receiver. and what do you know, its not really the right size. the corners are a little to round and none of my receivers fit. they will fit if i use a sledge to make them fit  weak :/rant:

well, heres the pic. the receiver stock will go under it and have some braces. i think i will also run some tubing from the back of the receiver to the frame. Now i know this isnt going to be towing some crazy loads, just some bikes and maybe a jetski.

finished the bumper, but think i might add some ore tubes to it.
once i take bed off i will brace it more.

also changed out the dash lights as i like the RED ones in my STI figured i would make it match.

how hard was it to change the dash lights? ive always thought about it on my truck.
only thing i would have done differently on the bumper is notch the ends of the tube were they meet the other tube.

as easy as changing out 2 bulbs. need to take out the havc cover and check out which bulbs that takes.

and yea, i sat looking at those damn tube ends trying to figure out how i wanted the. i a thinking about putting a plate on it to cover both ends.

did a little work on it today. i picked up a new tail gate for it as the stock one was rusted though and wouldnt hold anything on it.
the new one is nice looking however is super thin and flimsy. so figured i would add some gussets inside of it. just simple 18ga steel with dimples. welded to the panels.

    and installed.

also worked on the roof a bit. the PO took off the stock light that was there and left 3 open holes. so i welded those up and drilled a hole for a simple 3led tail light. didnt want to go to crazy and this should work well.

needed to fix the plate also. had it zip tied under the truck. so needed a simple bracket to hang it off the back of the bed but under the bumper. not sure i like it, but it gets the job done. also added a DOT LED light to light it up nice and bright for the popo.

Also added these super sick knar valve stem caps. only had two so they are on the drivers side

I did that also but it wasnt enough. i think the fact that i aM only running on cranked torsion bars and 31s isnt helping Matters once i build a LT then this should also help when i pick up 33s.

finished up the drivers side. only caught the carpet on fire twice. so not bad overall

and the passenger side to show the difference. gained quite a bit of room.

lets just hope it doesnt crack. my floor on the passenger side is splitting where the firewall meets the floor. wonder what cutting all that out and redoing it did as far as strength.
