I figured i could start a thread since i actually have some stuff going on with the truck with parts coming and the plans for the front end in less than a month or so and all the other things i'll be doing in the future. well here it is:
2000 Checy Silverado Ext Cab 2wd
4.8L V8 with TBS, AEM Dryflow Intake, Pacesetter Headers, Magnaflow Y-pipes, Wheatley Tune, and 4.56 gears.
Front End:
Procomp 3" spindle, 1" coilspacer
BTF long travel in less than a month.
Rear:
Deaver C-85 SUA Springs, SAW 2.5x16" RR, and BMS Shackles(6.5" i believe)
Heres how it started my senior year(2006):
Fiberwerx Fenders and 3" procomp spindles and some 33" MTRs Got fenders to help with clearance. Also got a fabtech spare tire mount. Then got rid of the front bumper and had my buddys dad build me one for the price of a 1 3/4" die.
Then a few years went by and the rearend went out so i got it regearded and everything replaced. then a month later the tranny lost all gears except 1st and reverse. Def didnt have money to replace that after spending all the money on the rearend. So it sat for over a year then finally got it rebuilt. Replaced the front springs, got some drilled and slotted rotors and changed the BJs. Starting snooping around DR and RDC again for parts and started to get back into the desert scene. Found Travis from BTF selling a pair of deavers and picked them up then ordered my shackles. Went to put it together and was gonna use some shocks in the stock mounts but found out they were SUA haha what a waste of time.
took it all apart and put it back to stock except the shackles. which made it sit pretty nice and level. Then found a pair of 16" saws for sale on here and picked them up. THe guy that i bought the shocks from actually did some fab work so i had him make me a simple bedcage and i added some HF ambers to the rear. then painted it black.
then went to the CLEAN-Dezert event in barstow and won some goodies and had some clearance issues and also self clearanced the bedsides a little
then realized the front end needed to be upgraded badly so i started researching and for my budget and what i wanted brandon at BTF was the perfect candidate. So he will be putting together a LT kit for me very soon and heres the parts i just gathered up so now its just anticipation!
