I've always wondered, do removable bars like that become difficult to remove and reinstall after a while? Same with engine cages. Just curious if things move around enough to cause problems.
Just get your ass out there and work. Hell I'll probably be working on it in the rain! Maybe I'll work on my engine instead, if I have the parts.

im realllllly not motivated to do this damn cage...i like working on suspension and doing prep etc but i hate tube work.

I got a easy way to make that pedestal for u. Do u still have any of your old broken axles. Cut them off at like a foot long long and weld them to the cage, use the lug nuts to hold the tires on. Its a nice way to carry spare lug nuts / studs and If you are using an impact wrench to take your tires off it doesn't really take any longer

Really hard to put the bms stainless studs in the thin flanges.. I thought of it. The ss studs are way longer than what the flange would need. I'm going to order some acme allthread tonight.

It will probably see a lot less stress then my shock hoops did, but I broke those clamps on both sides of my cross brace for my front shock hoops.

so you are gonna race the 500? I want to go to that one so bad lol. Hows progress coming on the rear, what all needs to be done still?
the last pic is all that has been done, i did not want to weld on it today because of the rain, and the fact i work outside under a leaky-worn out 10x20 awning.
so i took my chase truck lights and put them on the race truck light bar. the chase truck will get a new low profile chase rack with room for 2 35"/33" spares, honda eu3000 Gen, 110v welder, jack, LED flood lights, and a kragen 7" HID pointed back. also putting the extra 3 kragen 7" HIDs i have on the front bumper.
what do your parents do for a living? cus whatever it is, THATS what i want to do
Haha secret
Tomorrow i plan to get the cage welded, and have alot of the shit on it, such as coolers, rear light bar, fuel pumps, shovel, jack, bumper.
And everything im putting on the chase rack i already have or someone is giving to me, such as the LED flood lights.
Something like so...

Well shit the cage welding took awhile and doesn't help that snow was everywhere...so that's all I got done today.
Did get lights on the chase truck again...

lol wow the snow actually stuck where you live. At first it started snowing when it was completely sunny here then it turned into a blizzard then it went back to a nice sunny day... Gotta love our tweaker weather in this desert...
Yeah same it, it was sunny and was snowing/hailing both. thatwas 15 min. Again around 10 it hailed with thunder and lightning, then snowed for awhile. Before I woke up, all our cars were frozen shut with beds full of snow. Haha

Started on rebuilding the motor today. Got quite a bit done.
Cam, crank, pistons/rods/ heads, lifters, timing set, balancer. New bearings everywhere. I did change the cam, not sure if I mentioned it? It is the smog legal cam. The only one I can use with the stock POS spider injection.
