ok so i just picked up this ranger jan 19th it needed a clutch and who knows what else but i got a killer deal on it so i put a clutch in it found it had a check eng code replaced the camshaft pos sensor and got it smoged with flying colors haha a 95 with a 4.0 with 48k org miles i picked up some beams from kurt in lompoc and started to extend them 4''s and moving the ball joints out heres some pic's of those . i socred some f23's last week with hangers shackles and spring plates cleaned them up got new wear pads and hard ware so heres the pics its going to be a long journey

i got a cheapo hf sand blaster and blasted the driver side beam

why didn't you just use the beams on the truck? Starting off good. TTB beams ftw

well im collecting parts rite now so when i get an eng cage and c/o's ill do it to but rite now im driving the piss out of it hahaha

well i put on my deavers today fliped the hangers and put on 8inch long shackles and cut a monsteres hole in the bed but no lift height gained its fine for now but whem i get my beams done im going to need a lil more lift so should get new lower hangers or put the stock shackles on ? here's the pics

just got a dixon bro bed cage to day so now im on the hunt for shock's im thinkin foa's 2.5 with bypass but its all about money will get pic up some time just not sure when

so i got some work done this past weekend got my front end up in there axel shafts made and got her rollin now its the lil shit i need to do

so next its make shock brackets, get brakelines, limit straps, do the steering and uh buy shocks

are you keeping the d35 hubs? if you used d44's instead, you could have used a d35 inner shaft and a d44 outer shaft, cut and made to length, then sleeved. would have saved a lot of time instead of machining those axle extentions. looks good!

Well my next go around. Is a d44 and a 9". But that's a long time away. No the 35 hubs will be fine for now

i wouldn't run the truck hard with those stock shackles. there is a good chance they will bind before the springs fully dearch. you get get drop hangers and run the longer shackles, that will put the ride height somewhere around where it is with the stock shackles.
other then that you might need new leafs or get them re-arched.

There an old set of f23's so they mite need to be rearched. But ya I do need drop hangers for sure

Still need a set of rear shocks? I got a set of 2.0x14 fox smooth bodys for sale. Like new.

How does your truck do with the 456 gears and what size are your tires . I think iam going to run 2.5 all the way aroud

33x12.5's they work great. Throw a locker in the rear and you'll have no troubles.

so i have been laggin on the pic takein but here are some up dates got the top half of the bumper made i had a set of 98 fenders layin around so i stuck them on flared the bed 1.5 got the bed cage in mode the got kartec hangers ans moved them to the rear

needed shocks 14's and 12's

where did you get that bed cage? doesn't look like a DBR one..

Ya it's an old skool dbr and for 150 bucks. I couldn't pass it up

so i got a lil more work done mounted the bypasses finished the bottom part of my bumper just need to put a skid plate on and them start building my eng cage

Holy hell I need to up date the build. I just got my jmr bender now it's time for a bed cage and new bumPer pics will be coming

well its been a while havent done much lately but i went to pick n pull in fresno and found a wrecked 07 ranger so i got the seats, mirrors, tail lights so heres a lil up date on that [IMG][/IMG]

the mirrors stuck out at the bottom so i had to cut the riser off they fit better but theres still a lil gap some weather strippin can fill

well its bed cage time pulled the old one off and started on the new one


i was on the desert rides website and heres the where the shocks intersect
where looking at 35* at bump and 25 at droop so then i went to the 1;1 ratio
which then put me at 11* forward at bump and 6* at droop the string line is straight with the leaf and the line is at 11* im i trying to get to much bump out of an old set of f23's " it just seems like the shock is a mile high off the top of the bed rail" just a thought

whats the plan with the front? if you are keeping it coil sprung for a while i have 10" smooth body ressys
