because he wants a 2.0. a 2.5 is huge and hard to fit when hes already running a 2.5 coilover and 2.5 bypass. and yes it is more money. more materials = more cost. same price as a 2.0 = less profit.

Sorry this doesn't ad much to the the thread, but fudge! It drives me nuts when people put trailer lights for yota turn signals! Its not that hard to drill a hole in the corner light or just wire it for a dual filament.

No updates. Ive been working on another truck right now. Whoever owned it beat the crap outta it. the bed kissed the cab pretty hard on one side, the cab is tearing in two places and other nasty stuff is showing on it. BUT the whole critter panel works fully and fantastic. And the motor, trans, ac, power steering, heater, etc. were the biggest concerns and were glad we got this one particular truck.

So At this point in time, the truck is almost completely stripped and as soon as I finish up on the another project we will be resuming on this starting with the rear links. He have a 9" for it and it will be trussed and tabbed. After we finish up the rear, the plan is to move to the front and do an A-arm kit or piss off 80% of you and beam it. Either way, Im excited to continue on this and get the suspension done. The cab is already nakey inside and ready to be caged after. Pics to come.

My vote is beams! The steering sucks on these trucks, do away with it and run a yota 4x4 box with swingset, D O N E!

I love the support on that one. I was thinking the same thing... The toyota steering is like T-rex arms. I was thinking about pretty much no matter what I'd do with the stock steering, the truck would wave when it drives by.

bump steer isnt the issue he was talking about, the racks being weak is the issue he was referring to.

This is the latest sketch of the new trailing arms' platework. Everything was left at the lasercutters this week.

Ok, I lied... I had to change some stuff up. Differences youll see in later sets. But for the most part... Now I can say everythings at the lasercutters. As of right now, they sit like so.
