been a member on here for a while and never started a build thread. decided to say fuck it and do it.

the truck went through a few stages. started with fabtech coils, uppers, and spindle. went to camburg 5.5. and now the BTF midtravel. heres whats on the truck now. and a few pics.

    Limit straps.
    Heimed steering.
    Camburg fabricated spindles.
Bilstein 7100 2.0x8" shock.w. custom ressis to keep the shocks cool.
    Fox 2.0 bumps.

All together strapped bumped and strapped around 14" of travel.

    Suspension/rear:
    Deaver F31 prerunner pack.
Full bedcage with dual spares (all tig welded).
16"x2.5 FOA smooth bodies w. remote ressi.
    kartek extended shackles.

total cycles about 15" will be strapped at 14"

    misc.
    3 7" Kragen HIDs.

Trent, you're the shock guru. Btw, trent has always taken care of me when it comes to shocks/bumps. He revalved my old bilsteins and even took parts off his old shocks to fix mine. Thanks again man!

Wouldn't need to. The coil over mount would be way more towards the wheel then the old bucket.

true, but it would still look weird with the coil pocket with no coil, dont you think?

Even if he did have to plate over the lower it wouldnt be to hard, save brandon time, cut the bucket out yourself, that is the hardest part when installing c/o's on XLT's. all he will do is throw in a tube to your motor mount bolt(to have access in the future), and then plating it in.... Do it carlos, c'o's are so much easier to work with instead of coils springs...

True. I used a oxyacetylene torch to remove the second bucket. WAY faster than the cut off wheel and a sawzall I used for the first bucket.

True, time for top ramen nights!!!! it will be worth it. Or just collect and when your current springs start to sag and you get tired of having your springs come flying out to remove your shocks then do it.

How did brandon mount your lower shock? is it reccessed in the coil pocket on the lower or are the tabs mounted underneath to have easier access to them?
