Sounds like somewhere in the bird nest of wires you are getting power from 2 wires and blowing your fuses Berto. Grab a meter and see what wires are power and start labeling them.

Maybe b/c he got t-boned and he's been having mechanical issues. He's been driving the truck around like that and drives fine but I guess that's a big contribution to him selling it....

My buddy owned this truck before you and the kit looks OG but I doubt it. Especially with that upper arm job the owner before my buddy did.. Not sure where tour at on this build at the moment but esb pulls descent numbers if done correctly.. I have a 88 that I'm copying a mig'd esb kit and building a new one with custom spindles everything tig welded.. The only thing with an esb kit is there is no strut frame for it and requires some work/ welding. Relocate uca's, add another mount for lower arm.. Nothin crazy but down time for the truck is required.

Truck is looking great though man keep up the good work!!

Me and this ranger just dont get along, i have been going through alot of here and there parts with the truck, and i know those problems that are fixed shouldnt break again, but im getting fustrated with it. It is a great platform to turn into a really nice rig, but im really in love with the yota its been good to me. And way back when when i first wanted a truck this was my first truck by choice. i love these body style yota's! I dont want to lose the yota i want it to stay in the family. Yes rangers are proven and with beams you can get great kits for half of the cost. I have learned alot more about trucks, and really what it boils downs to is what YOU WANT FOR A TOY OR TRUCK! Yota's are not number one pick to build because there isnt any decent kits out there, there is ESB but they are not in business no more, to have a really decent front set-up on a yota you have to drop coin! well my buddy is selling his yota and i want it bad. The idea of having a built yota over the ranger just makes me alot more excited and actually having the motivation to "fully build something." Everybody has rangers! Im not racing, i dont need a big v6 or even a ext. cab to add to that, the yota is primarly going to be a around town truck and a weekend toy. It will def. hold up im not racing, that 22re will serve me well. both dirt and street. gets great mpg and has decent power for a 4cyl. And you cant go wrong with yota drivetrain.... I have been giving this lots of thought, but if im going to change my mind I better do it now!

He didn't do much.. He threw that spare tire carrier in it and did some little nick nack things. Not sure if he played with the electrical or not.. What issues are you having with the electrical? My cousins is a 91 I believe and he had all kinds of problems till one day everything stopped working.. He needs a new harness now..

If you look around there are guys selling used kits for your truck that are around 5 over stock for good deals.. I see guys post stuff on Craigslist all the time and their nice kits.. There's a guy selling an esb kit on one of these forums with uca' lca's spindles tie rods, basically everything you need..

Are they not coming on or pippin fuses?? I know in my 88 I have problems becuz on older toyotas you have running lights and blinkers and I took my bumper (with rectangle) blinkers off and just rewired everything to the 2 way bulb in the running light but it wasn't working right do I had to put a relay on it.. But besides that I haven't had too many wiring problems..

I keep popping fuses. Since I picked the truck up I had a stereo and a horn installed, and managed to wire in the corner lights. I sure grab those dealers, I ended up selling them. I should not have sold them, I hear there better than the f-55'z and that's what the new truck has

I'd say check those corner lights.. How long does the lights stay on for before a fuse pops? Might need to put those corner lights on a relay..

Man that's a bummer you sold those deavers! It's only $80 for a new leaf plus I believe they'll throw new hardware and paint job on them while their there.. they are better but you just have to make the best of what you have.. I have nationals.. My trucks not even built yet so I couldn't tell you how they are. Lol

Curious to see how that 6 over kit turns out! My only thought is how is steering going to handle when your trucks gunna be 86 maybe wider track width on a little yota steering box? My 5.5 with fully fabbed spindle will sit at 82 or somethin like that

Why have deaver install your leafs? I just think its part if building your own truck..

Yea I suppose being that it is a light weight truck it shouldn't be too bad.. Mine should be okay.. I'm doing a BMW swap once things get going.. Motor puts out 190 hp and with the tranny it almost weighs 200 less than a 22r because it's aluminum instead of cast iron like a 22r.. 22r w/ tranny weighs around 6-700lbs

Are you talking about the bbr kit that's on flaun or flaunts old truck?

alright....... huge updates, everything as far as electrical is up and running... so pumped on this, got all my extra goodies.... But my kit is paid for and my donor truck is coming home next weekend.........

    parts I need:

    10 x 2.5 c/o's
    leaf spring hangers
    16" x 6 x 5.5 wheels
    tires
t-100 rear end(along with new perches, and shock mounts)
    2.0 bumps
    mcneil tundra bedsides

BBR front end with 10 c/o's and the rear will be on deavers with giant link killer shocks....

if any of you have these parts I need for cheap hit me up, some stuff I need sooner than others, only have so much extra cash to play with...but im stoked, its going to be some hefty work involved but the yota is going to transform

good news.... shock are valved and rebuilt and ready to go, just need to find some used coils
    donor vehicle is stripped
ordered some new bushings for my deavers
found out I can still run 15' rims with my new front end and when i do my t-100 swap down the road!

question guys, for the time being I will swap in a 2wd tacoma rear end in my pre taco, are the diffs the same size? I currently have a 2wd 4cyl 89 pickup rear end, and I want to know if the gears will swap over in this 2wd 5lug tacoma rear end?(reason being is the taco has a lsd)

im use to using the rangerstation to get my questions answered I googled, but can someone create a chart to make identify easier so far this is what i got

    pre 2wd taco's have a 7.5
