    Default 2006 GMC Sierra

Here's my 2006 GMC Sierra from how it was way before, to how it is now.

    Bone stock in those pics.

And this is after I got some new wheels.

Bought a set of 35"Red Labels from vegassrngr. They pretty much sat in my garage for months due to the fact that I couldn't put them on, otherwise they'd rub way too much in my front, and my rear wasn't pulled yet. So I waited till I bought some suspension.

After some saving up my very small pay checks from my retail jobs, I finally ordered my suspension, went with the Camburg 6.5 kit. Took about 3 weeks to get to my house, due to the fact that Camburg was racing at times, and they were ordering springs for the kit that apparently took longer than they thought to get there.

Left for Cali one weekend and when I returned, this was sitting at my front porch.

I'm so new to this sport and working on trucks isn't exactly my expertise. I've been wanting to learn for so long, and love learning new things, so I had Adrian teach me how to do it.

I also have no tools at all, so the install took forever. One whole day for one side, drove the truck with half the suspension on from his house to mine.

And once the install was done, that's how it sat for about a day. Looked ridiculous with those very small tires. That ugly tire carrier is now gone btw, lol.

After an alignment was done, the next day I took it to my old high school shop and had my brother mount the Generals on.

    Some of the finished results.

After taking it up to a trail real quick, I realized I really needed to pull my bedsides. Like everything else though, I had no idea how to do it. Everyone said it was easy, and it looked easy after watching some videos and reading up on it, but again, I had no tools for the job. So I had livefree47 on here pull them for me and show me how it was done. It ended up being real easy.

That was when I took it to a trail and started to see my tires being chewed up.

This was taken yesterday, my new bumper being built by Matt at MCM Fab.

And below is the bumper close to completion.

Thanks a lot! Honestly, no idea just yet. Like I said, Im still learning this whole thing as I go. As I save up money for the truck, Im reading other silverado builds and getting ideas as to what works and what doesn't. I know for sure, I need to start on my rear. That thing bucks like crazy. But with a simple mid-travel kit up front, Im not too sure what to do with the rear just yet. In the front, after the bumper is complete, Im going to add my McNeil fenders, course as soon as I make the order through MCM. I'd also like to switch my bilsteins up front to maybe fox's.

I wanted to, but had to take care of some business when I saw you guys drive by. Let's go out to that trail soon though, haven't taken my truck out in a while.

I plan on keeping it, I love it. I already sold it, probably 3 months ago to some weird guy off of Craigslist. The only thing stock parts I have left for sale are the old uppers, spindles, and springs.

Yeah its great for a mid-travel kit!! 2 grand is about right. Plus the 100$ shipping and 3 week wait to get it to me in Vegas, lol.

Any suggestions on fiberglass for the front? I really wanted to go with McNeil, but now Im not too sure. My second choice was Fiberwerx but I keep reading mixed reviews on fitment and what not. I just haven't seen any pics or reviews of McNeil on a chevy so don't want to take a risk in buying crap glass.

I think what most people do it go with the chevy glassworks fenders and just have to trim around the headlight area. I am very happy with my glassworks. You could always switch to the 03+ front end haha

Fiberwerx newer stuff is better, but ill still never go back there. can't beat glassworks. trailer products has a nice 99-02 glass as well. hanneman I think is just ugly lol

I was thinking of going with Glassworks. I like the way they look. Fiberwerx looks ok too but I'm guessing you had bad experience with them? And TP, well, I never even looked at them. Hanneman sucks.

Glassworks is hands down my number one choice for everything. my truck is originally an 01 so I had a set of the glass you would be getting. it lined up perfect, looked badass, was just all around great glass. Fiberwerx I bought when I converted to the newer front end, I returned it cause it fit so bad and went and bought glassworks. the Tp glass is kinda middle of the road. kinda thin, but its an unbeatable price and still looks really good, but you will have to take your time and probably trim some here and there to get perfect fitment. if you end up going with glassworks, get in touch with Bryantkalagian on here, rumor has it he may have a set for sale soon.... haha
