Default From 1994 Gardener Yota to Dethyota

This 94 Pickup is and always be my baby. It was the first vehicle I ever bought. It began as a bone stock RED base model 2wd. This is a budget build in every sense of the saying.

    The beginning (Painted)

Body lifted with 30" Goodyear MTs

'87 Celica Buckets installed (I have better steel seat mounts for the back now)

    Posi'd with 4.10 Gears

Nothing like getting stuck because your frame hangs low

I bought CVP Prerunner's Duffco kit today so that will be the next step in my build. I also got the national leaves and shackles. Pretty much everything I need suspension-wise.

Hopefully I can get it all installed ASAP!!!!!!

    single cab yotas ftw!

looks good and that duffco kit will do you well. id drill out the steering holes on the spindles tho and use a bolt that goes thru it with a nut, the threads will pull out of them.

this is exactly how my first build started. 95 red toyota with way to big of all terrains and no lift and then a duffco kit that never got installed

Just got a call back from Fantelli Racing Products confirming my Thursday morning appointment.

I will be dropping off Dethyota there to have shock towers built, everything installed, and the truck aligned.

I like the 89-95.5 body style the best. I am still learning more every day about engines so I also wanted to get an efi engine for simplicity.

If you wanted simplicity, you should have got a carb.

No one in my family knows carbs so fixing one would have cost me until I learned. I know extremely basic efi troubleshooting so that is why I swayed that way. I was lucky to find my truck for $3k with 100k miles and only needed timing done. Replaced the whole front end of the engine with ENGNBLDRS 4 piece front end kit and it runs like a champ

Called today. The rear is done. I am cycling a solid 15" of travel with the Nationals and the shackles...BOMB! The front end needed some tweaking because of the ball joint failure. Shock mounts are welded and ready to rock, everything is straight as the day it was made.

Last thing needing to be done are the spindles and I will have my baby back. I'm thinking I will be able to pick it up after 1pm tomorrow.

We sell a Tomco (Holley) stock replacement carb for those 22r's. I almost crapped myself when I saw how complex it was compared to a performance carb right next to it.

Sorry for the lack of pics so far guys. Ramona is a 30+ minute drive each way so I haven't been able to check out the progress in person to get pics. I will make up for it tomorrow!

I have pics!!!! I don't have the truck yet. The story is: It was ready to take home but I was given the option to super beef up some stuff to make this kit and my truck more bulletproof in the long run...so I left the truck and will have it dropped off tomorrow. Here are the first pics! (Sorry it has a weird effect my gf accidentally did it and could not see it in the sun)

im sure it will work, but moving those lower shock mounts on further on the arm will help with motion ratio and dampening amount a lot. if i had to guess the shocks are to short so they mounted them further up the arm.

    good luck!

In those photos the Torsions were not on yet so the truck was not at normal ride height. I will get better pictures of the shock mounting soon. I can't wait to test the truck out once cooler weather comes around.

Once I get my engine/cab cage I will lose the lift. Right now I am just using the BL to avoid the cost of fiberglass since I'm a little depleted on cash now.

Thanks! I'm hoping that maybe someone on here will post in the Wheels and Tires section that they want to trade a larger tire for mine. Fiberglass may wait until my cagework can be done.

I got the rear bilsteins on the other day too! Tomorrow i'm going to pine valley to play around in the truck along with my mom
