    Default t100 re-build

I finally get to build the T-100 pretty much how I always wanted. only downside being it's for someone else.

I had a customer come to me for a full build and I figured theres no other truck I have nearly the knowledge about.
He saw how much thought I have put into that thing and knew he would be getting the deal of a lifetime

He has a bunch of property to play on, needs a truck for towing, and also has wanted to get into the sport.
I told him I would put together something he could use to do it all.

    Build specs:
    1996 t100 (with a 98 cab)
fuel injected LS1 swap, t400 trans, divorced np205 tcase
    indefab 4wd LT kit w/ 2.0x10" coilovers and 2.5x10" byp. w/ 3" bumps
    full custom heimed/dbleshear-steer kit
    custom f. axles 5" over, custom f. d-shaft, r. half of t-100 d-shaft
Deavers out back S.U. with either a cantilever setup or lowpro bedcage
35" tires, tundra glass, bobbed bed, "prerunner" lumber rack, bumpers/spare mount.
1.75" DOM chassis tubes, mix tig/mig where appropriate.

I'm building it so it will pass tech for 1450 to justify putting something of this caliber together for future owners sake. I doubt he will do more then occaisional pismo trips, and rompin on his land. The best part about the build is I will have access to the truck ongoing to use it for kit revisions and CAD input.

    Today is day one.
I dug out all the old parts and began cleaning up the frame f.clip for re-attachment
(the frame was used to transfer geometry for my el camino)
I have alot of things here already so it will come together pretty quick. esp. since I have help now =)

just curious why you chose that trans/tcase setup? seems like a 700r4 would be better suited for towing and driving having the lower 1st gear and OD. sweet build though.

Ya we went over the options, he wanted wutever was best to play rough. It's more of an offroad machine then anything else. Trans swap would not be a problem down the line anyhow. just $ which he fortunately has. good call tho on OD for streetability, always a give and take.

why not? tig'd with overkill plating not gonna do it? plz tell me now before I make an expensive mistake.
I don't see a prob with it, and it's halfway done. so It's technically already on there.

welding tent for the re-marriage of the front clip kinda reminded me of a couch fort.

and yes there are two welds in each framerail due to the section I had to remove for fitment to the camino
Worst case scenario, I yank the cab, throw it on a stand and use this frame for hardpoints to design and build jigs for a T100 chassis with narrowed framerails and a better kick.

I don't really have the time on this for all that, but that wouldn't suck to have in the indeFAB lineup.
I have been known to tackle more daunting tasks then that for no apparent reason ;-)

do they do true t-100 bodywork or tundra conversion clips???
This is another vehicle I expect to do several more of so I'm trying to do my own molds if time allows.

Joe I couldn't even think of what to call this build after all this thing has been thru with the various build evolutions. (KOF KOF Pipe KoF dreams KOf Koff wheeez)
I think technically this is the first re-build. after chico it just sat in tahoe till now. During that time I have changed how I look at things quite a bit.
I'm relatively impressed with my original LT design, minus the spindle sai I wont really be changing any of the geometry.

Well the owner got excited and let me go to town on it, so we have taken our time to do a bunch of prototyping
    Here's the full plan

    4wd LT kit 5" over/side
new bodywork plugs/molds done in-house matched to the suspension at bump
    LS1/T350/205
    Indefab fullfloat axle buildup
    Cantilever rear on custom leafs
Bumpers (front designed to allow hitch mounted winch to be used)
Cab cage, simple nosecage, lowpro bedcage
Some carbon fiber goodies too if time/$ allows - intake, grille, hood, dash

He plans to use it as a DD/work truck but the guy is a little nutty. He's gonna huck it the first week guaranteed. I think one trip with us to a race and he will realize the potential and just run it. Its now being approached more as a race build then a playtoy. Also made a couple little changes to the front end a little to get full steering potential out of the vert uniballs

Currently finishing up the front fender plugs and will be making molds very soon. I did it the hard way but the t100 actually has 2 soft bodylines and a typical waistline roll as well as some odd contours that would be incredibly hard to replicate accurately in foam. This fender is about as tough as it gets to flare and make look factory-custom so it was a good challenge. doing the body in-house really ties a whole project together like the dudes rug.

...and yes I will be selling the fenders, and all the other parts/kits we use on this build so PM me for info on that.
