will be 4 on the bumper 5 on the rack. never really liked how 6 on top looked on a mini truck, just didnt seem to flow right. So i will be tinting the middle two on the bumper amber then the rest with be standard hid color.

it will for sure! with what its got into it estimated around 400hp at the fly. which for a mini truck should absolutely fly! same motor in an auto supra runs a 12.4 in the 1/4 mile. my truck weights less and is geared. "supposedly" if i can hook, has the possiblity of sub 14s. but we shall see real world senario. I dont really care for any of that stuff, but yes it will run, it is going to be dyno tuned, it will scream and it will shoot fire haha. working out the cooling system right now as well as intercooler and fuel management.

What are u running for the trans? I have the same motor swapped in a 91 2wd toyota with the Supra 5 speed trans. Got it running and sounds pretty good with some cheap ass muffler mocked up. The truck is just a cab, frame and motor, wish I could drive it. I was planning on building the truck to race MDR but thats not going to happen. I am now thinking of swapping the motor to be able to race it in MORE or another organization. MDR allowed forced induction, MORE doesn't.

im running a w56 with a 5m bell housing and clutch assembly. standard 22r 5 speed. i dont think it is a w58 but i havent verified. either way same bolt pattern for the bell housing. damn thing bolts right into the truck.

I dont see that trans last long at all with that much power going through. Gears, shafts etc are tiny compared to R150 and those blow up with 250hp. Should be fun until it blows though haha

This thing is going to absolutely scream. That motor is going to be completely rediculous in there. Ive got 6 lights mounted over my windshield and IMO it doesnt look crowded

from what i have researched, the trans will hold 350hp, as long as i'm not slamming the hell out of it. but thats why i have 2 trans in my trailer right? lol its a 45min job in the sand with 2 people. if the trans doesnt want to hold i will be calling marlin crawler, they have a built w56 and or w58 for like $1200. which in my opinion is a pretty good price. Same problem with the 8.0 rear end, internet knowledge is saying that it will gernade. hahaha thats why there is a new 9in in the garage begging for an excuse. i just want to drive the truck with the new motor.

Everything will be done right and name brand. Intercooler and oil cooler in the front, and i have no choice but to put the radator in the back. most likely a ron davis or something of equal quality.

trying to get it together for the april race in plaster to prerun for jermey and to help chase for my dad who might be racing for a 5/1600 team.

theres a bunch for sale on supramania.com i got mine from a junkyard and took it straight to Doug at Aloha Automotive. completely torn aprart and built with new parts, so its basically new. but i'm very picky with my motors. so buying a used one and not cracking it open is always rolling the dice. with that being said my motor is running fresh machine work, full valve job, balanced crank, rod bearings, rings w/fresh hone, front and rear mains, arp head studs, 550cc injectors, upgraded turbo, custom metal head gasket, custom 3in turbo back exhaust, BIG front mount intercooler (core is 24x12x3). custom intercooler piping. factory ecu with piggy back management and full digital boost management.

but you could most likely pick up a used running one for around 600, swap a bell housing and call it a day. only takes about 12-15 wires to swap it over to a factory cluster. haha sounds easy!

Cool build! Never noticed it till now. Being that we are running a turbo setup as well (22re) I can say that these trans do not really hold up to power to well. We are only putting down like 200hp and have gone through 2 trans in 1 season so far. Has lots of power but the trans wont seem to hold it.

Pretty cool doing the inline 6 though. We are going LS motor once this motor lets go or whenever I get done building the motor/trans.

yea if i need to swap to a supra trans i will. but i have two so i can break the motor in haha, its a learning curve really. i havent seen a desert truck run this set up yet so im breaking new ground in my book. but like anything trial and error is the only way to know what works and what doesnt. th400 would be perfect but i like the idea of keeping my mini truck stick shift with a good amount of power haha. only time will tell

they make adaptors for 7mgte to th400 btw, for manual tranny run a r154 after the w58 goes, but even with hard offroading over miles id expect a r154 to give up too, whoops are harsh on manual transmissions

So truck is back on its own weight again. revalved the rear and changed the spring set up. so ride height is a little high for right now but it should settle nicely, once i have everything on the truck. Soon depending on how april goes with work will depict when the truck gets dropped off to be finished at GR Fab in south bay. Glen will be mounting my Intercooler, Radiator and 9inch. He will also be building a new pitman arm and trans cross brace. Time cant move fast enough for that time haha.

Here is how the truck sits right now
