Well, A friend of mine and I were talking one afternoon thinking about how we were going to attempt to fix the "torn apart" core support and since I had plenty of tubing we both decided it was time just to ditch the core support entirely and start building the cage. I owe a huge thanks to my friend Eric Stolz (Tempt Media, be sure to check out his insane offroad videos). Well after cutting off the core support and gutting the interior we started taking measurements and started with the engine cage first. We made some changes along the way, but for the most part everything is coming together very well and I'm stoked to see the progress. I'm open to ideas and comments so let me know what you think. Eric and I have done most of the work, but we've also had a good amount of help from Steve Fike (Socalmoto), Mike James (CentralCoast99) and my friend Justin Yager. Big thanks and recognition for all the help and input. By the way the truck has a Total Chaos long travel kit with spindle gusset, King 2.5" 8" coilovers, tubed front and rear bumper, Deavers with 12" shackle, King 2.5 Remote Reservoir smooth bodies and a simple bedcage (which is cut out and going up for sale).
We changed the outside tubes instead of meeting in the middle, we decided to keep one bend right where the cross tube is and notch the tube into the front "X" brace. I'll update pics when I can.
