Man, everyone hates the TT bedsides! I kind of liked them actually. They have a pretty modest rise so they aren't too ridiculous and flowed well with the truck I thought. To each their own I guess! But anyway, everyone stop talking about how much they don't like them until AFTER I sell them!

I was thinking October might be unrealistic but as long as the Mountain Dew keeps flowing in Khris's garage we just might hit that! Joking aside, there is still a lot to be done not counting any of the unforseen stuff that could pop up. But I think we have a solid game plan and outline and are on track to make some rapid progess on the truck for sure.

Shitty part is it had been close to a month since I'd had a dew but with the heat starting to kick in I finally said screw it and gave back in cause nothing was cutting it for me in the garage drink wise! LOL

I am at work! Getting a paycheck yo! LOL My truck work schedule this week is Tue & Wed afternoon/evenings and then possibly friday night if nothing else comes up and then of coarse Sat and Sunday during the day whenever I get my ass outta bed and motivated to get some. I'm trying to keep a steady 2-3 evening per week and then at least one of the weekend day's set aside for truck destruction. Anything extra depending on personal chores and commitments is just icing on the cake.

LOL, let me pencil that in... Somewhere between chores of home ownership, maintenance on a offroad jeep, my personal prerunner, my daily driver, buiding a race truck, riding and maintaining 2 dirt bikes, 40hr/week job and social life. You want a 3 stage wax/polish and full interior dressing right? HAHAHAHAHA

Sounds like we are in the same boat, just add a part time job of showing houses, maintaining a rental, and dealing with the nagging girlfriend! Sidenote, I'll take the 7pm slot on a Thursday night please! HAHA

You been riding much lately? I need to order up some carbs, new exhaust, and a stroker crank for my quad. Bike just need to rebuilt the carb and she is ready! Sad owned the bike for three years now and only took it out twice. Once when I got it and other time when I put the cam in it, damn money pit! LOL

Nope, decided I wasn't racing this year cause I planned on being 6 months into this build at this point. If I'd known I'd have stayed on it and at least done the first half of the year's races. I also kinda had a parting with the riding partner I used to go with so I just haven't been out much cause nobody is nagging me to go and ride. Now with summer it's just too hot. My bike is good to go though, just sitting in my trailer waiting to get used basically.

Heck, I still made progress last night even without it being planned! Got the coil bucket cut off, bumpstop can cut off, resi mounts, limit strap tab and uca location tabbed up. Tonight I should finish up the pass side frame rail and start making templates for plating the frame and maybe even the first piece or two for mounting the uca.

Ehhh, we'll see. I'm sure when the garage is in the triple digits my pace will slow! That's partially why I'm spending every spare moment out here. Trying to get the really nasty cutting and grinding done while the temps are still bearable out there.

Passenger side is equally as bare as the driver side now.

And I got sick of walking around the doors last night so I fixed that issue too!

BTW, the pile of junk under the truck is almost all up for grabs!!! hit up Jprich for pricing but that's a completely dash interior, ABS system, air bags, A/C system, Heater system, etc...

My garage looks like a mess but actually it's not bad at all. I wheel the bike out of the garage while working.

Should have the frame plating tacked into place tonight and then will start on the upper control arm mounts. Progress might slow for a little bit till next week though because of how things are kinda falling together and other obligations this week. No biggie though, it'll all get done one way or another! LOL

Seriously!!!! Those pictures make it look like my garage is a disaster zone but honestly, one you roll the bike out of there the floors are completely clear and free all the way around the truck. All that crap in the picture is actually pushed under the truck and it's all the A/C, heater, ABS, airbag, dash and interior crap! LOL The dash itself is laying across the back of the truck.

My work bench is actually pretty clean and all my tools are picked up and put away nightly 99% of the time. I also typically sweep before I roll the bike back in too. These pictures make it look horrible though! LOL

And I will close with this famous quote!

DO NOT LET THIS MAN FOOL YOU, HE IS A DISASTER! I mean just look at the pictures, they speak for themselves, just kidding! Looking good man! This Tuesday coming up I can swing by after work, probably around 5ish or so. Lemme know!

I want to say thanks to Matt at MCM Fab here in Vegas!!! He's taking care of us on our plating needs! He has a Torchmate CNC Plasma in his shop and it's a savior having access to it! His pricing is fair and I'd highly encourage anyone in the Vegas area at least to push business his way if you need some plate cut. I've actually been able to email him files in the morning from work and pick the parts up on the way home! Talk about convenient!!! For the next week or so, all the plate work you'll be seeing is being cut for us by MCM Fab. MCM is also the shop that built the front suspension for us and the quality is top notch so far!

So, with that said, they're just tacked in place right now. I cleaned the inside surface but have not cleaned up the outer yet but you get the idea... It's actually amazing the amount of surface rust that forms from them getting wet and then laying outside for 20 minutes before I started work with them. LOL

And just cause those last pictures made the garage look so messy this is what it's looking like these days.

Still a little cluttered but at least there's room to work.

Swamp cooler at the far end is the only savior in the garage on the hot days!

    Stuff off the truck!

Progress hasn't stopped but the pictures have kinda gone on vacation for a bit. I'm still working on it though. Right now I've got the upper arms all mocked up but I've run into an alignment issue with a few ways of dealing with it. I'm waiting right now for Matt from MCM to swing by and look at what I've got going on to give me some input on what he thinks our best option is. Not a big deal, maybe an evening's worth of setback but I need to address it now before moving on. So till he can swing by the front is on pause. I'm now planning to put some attention towards the rear axle. I've got a lot of brackets that need to be cut down off it and the truss for it was ordered and should be at my house next week. I need to talk with a local guy here that supposedly can make sure the axle is straight still after the truss work and get any info he's got to provide before I go too far forward with that too. If that turns into a waiting game I'll just turn my attention to the cab and start cutting out the inner sheet metal to start prepping for cage work. I got my hands on a 2" bender die so I can always start moving forward on that. So basically I've ran into a few hiccups with some decisions and direction needed to be figured out but no biggie, we'll get it all taken care of in the long run!

Not a Duece update, but finally got around to sorting through the Replay XD footage from Khris's truck over Memorial Day weekend. My first real attempt at video editing so sorry it's not all that fancy, but I had good intentions! Did a roughly 75 mile round trip run from Boulder City to Searchlight with a delicious stop at the Searchlight Terrible's in between for some cheap appetizers and a pitcher of Stella.

Anyway, shameless plug....I know GoPro's are all the rage but really dig our ReplayXDs. The size/shape makes for easy mounting in a ton of spots and the quality is solid. Next step is to connect the intercom so we can record in car audio as well. Anyway, enjoy!

    Paul,
I did thank you very much and thank you for reminding me that I need to pursue that!

If it weren't for Khris I wouldn't be in a position to even attempt a run at having a race truck so I'll be forever indebted to him for that. His garage is like the slave deck on Amistad and he's not getting a lot in return and I am really lucky to have him to do the work!

All I do is spend money and post on the internet!

Pretty much! Haha The rear end looks awesome! I want to know how much time total Khris has into it just grinding off all the old mounts. Those were all like 3/16 plate.

It was about 2.5-3 hours. 6-7 cut off wheels, one stone wheel and two 60 grit flap discs. I left the two shock brackets on in hopes of maybe getting lucky and being able to reuse them. Chances are though, those still have to come off.

LOL, the before... I'm sure an internet "pro" on DR probably could've had them off in like 4 minutes I'm sure. LOL

I was adding up the receipts the other night comparing them to what I physically have left of the petty cash Jason left for me and then comparing those numbers to my hand tally of what I've spent I'm off by like $18... I couldn't figure it out cause sure I'm not adding up the cents but still I'm not rounding off $18 worth right. Then I remembered Fukuburger! LOL So really I wouldn't say he's bought a lot of dinners cause technically he's only bought one, it just happened to be for the two of us. LOL I actually haven't even used any of his cash for the dew supply... yet... LOL

On a side note, between Ricky's Jeep and now my new hoopty I think we'll have chase/recovery duties handled well! Heck, if we ever got really serious, we could be prerunning in my toyota, racing in the truck and then use Ricky's Jeep and my new pile for race day duties! BTW, Ricky is still 100% for truck and trailer duties as well. He hit me up the other day and mentioned it.
