Thread: 90 Tonka's (Tonka jr)

So i picked up this 1990 4Runner for a very nice deal! specs are:
1990 4Runner v6 160k
auto/4x4
sr5 pwr everything
sunroof

i have little plans for it in the very near future, nothing to crazy... keeping it as my DD so most likely plans are:

Total chaos ball joint kit
lift coils in rear
front/rear bumpers
33.12.5.R15s
fiberglass fenders
possibly stronger link setup in rear...

not exact on parts for plans will be interested in any kit available at the right price.
will be putting more pics up daily i hope, here it is the first night i bought it.

my buddy has a 93 and everything about it is good except the power. i hope you regear real soon lol.

yeah it has good enough power in the dirt in my opinion, but up a long hill ugghh fuckin smart cars pass me up... lol as for regrearing it, maybe, i know it sure as hell needs something! hahah

hey man now that you have a 4wd working vehicle you down to roll out with me to that tierra del sol event in ocotillo first weekend of march?

how you do on the trails with your hitch? i pulled mine off because it would get caught on every thing! i like the all black on the front i pulled the bottom part of my bumper of and painted the grill all black i think the black makes the 4runner stand out more

it does really good actually i noticed that its kinda a hide away with just the hitch tht drops dwn and not the whole bar like most others... my truck had that one that showed the whole hitch and crassbar and i had to remove it cus it would hit everything! and my truck is pretty high... but yeah no problems at all.
