Thread: 1999 Silverado Build "Old Grey"

Well as much as my friend Hunter (member on here) didn't want to share a build thread, I feel it necessary because Steve (socalmoto on here) is putting out some awesome work on his truck.

Alright, since he will probably never make his own build thread. I decided to take it upon myself to make one for my friend Hunter.

Here is the truck when I first met him. 1999 Silverado with a 5.3, 4" lift spindle and coil spacer 16" American Racing wheels and 285/75R16s BFG A/Ts.



He has one hell of a parts pile that he has been slowly collecting the last couple years:

Camburg LT kit w/ KING coilovers/bypasses/bumps
17" Pro Comp simulated bead locks
Front glass
bedsides
Dirt Designs shackles
5 Hella 4000s
2 Beard racing buckets
(has a 9" lined up)
And is leaning towards doing the 64 kit i believe

I am sure there is some things I am forgetting. This is the only pictures I have right now, trying to get him to email a bunch of pictures right now.

Alright, so he sent me a couple pictures, but he only actually had the pictures of the motor swap/replacement. Both head gaskets were starting to go, so he found a used 5.3 with brand new unused aluminum heads already on the motor back home in Texas (where he is originally from).

and testing out the new motor by roasting the 305/75r16 MTRs with stock 3:23 gears..


He already has long tube headers ready to go in, and also plans on getting a cam to really liven those heads up.

Few more of the bumper....

Light bar for the front bumper...

Here is what the light bar looks like on the bumper. From my understanding, the bumper, light bar, and engine cross brace went to powder coat today, or will be going tomorrow.

Bumper looks sweet mines the same way and im paneling it in like that too! Small world haha
