hahah that's a sweet whip!! how much for that upgrade!

I'm with the other guys on this one. When I first saw you putting that square butt ram on there I thought to myself, WTF!? I see your reasoning behind it, but to me .. I just don't care for it's looks. To each is own though.

I will have to cross the same road soon though.

I like hitmans last drawing with a different bumper of course. I'm going for something similar and am considering a small storage area. (if you look under 3 seater whoop eater thread... he has a little storage area in the middle that looks like a good idea)

Now if you upgrade to a fuel cell in a standard cab Ranger like ours ... should it be behind the cab or behind the rear axles??

Ehh...if your talking about me smoking to much, your waaaayyy off.. lol. I stay away from illegal crap like that...

And I took my front shocks off yesterday so I can finally take them in to get rebuilt.. But I still have to wait for another check so I can have the money.. I forgot that they took out for my shoes and I owed my mom $85 for something.. So that left me with $70..

Anyone know how much it costs to get 2 shocks rebuilt with new seals, and shafts and 2 new reservoir hoses??? Thanks...

Do whatever you want to do with it all, haha. I don't have a patent(sp?) On anything, so its all free to copy.

I took off the front shocks the other day and put little short tubes in to keep it from killing my rubber bumps. But no pitures yet..

But here's one form when I was taking the front shocks off..

Well I have SAT's tomorrow, so I'm going to bed early.

As far as the tubing count goes, we have gone through 6-sticks so far and have 6 more in the garage right now.. so I'm gonna guesstimate somewhere around 300ft by the time its all said and done?!?!

    UPDATES!!!

It bumps pretty good for stock beams... I tried to do a full droop picture from the same spot, but the whole truck lifted off the ground instead of just the front end... Lol. It scared me to say the least.

Here will be the "new" ride height for my truck. I'm going to get rid of "The Lean" for now due to the fact that i have stock beams still..

    Rebuild time...

Anyone know how to read this?? It says 12" springx300lb spring-rate, but whats the 0.400 for?? Or is that spring rate??? I feel really stupid for asking that, because I know so much more in other areas of trucks.. But I gotta learn sometime.. Also, the reason why i ask is because I would like to get some 4" shorter coils for the front for now to lower it down, due to the fact that the pre-load is all the way up.. Haha.

    Thanks guys...

Haha they are actually holding up really good. These shocks were purchased alooong time ago,so I knew they were due for a rebuild anyways. As for the rust, there really isn't any. There is only rust where they have been scratched or similar places..

Wait-a-second, I thought that a 360' welds just went all the way around the tube, whether or not it was one, continuous weld bead?? Anyways, My dad is the welder in this, until I get better. He did 2 180' welds (?) if I remember correctly..

Yeah Joe, your math skills still seem up-to-par...

I was referring to the weld around the tube, as to whether or not a 360' welds was a 1, solid weld around the tube.. I'm pretty sure that a 360' weld doesnt matter how many weld passes are on it, as long as it follows the whole tube notch..

As of end of today... The cage is about %90 welded together.. And about %90 of thee tubes are in place..

Between the 2 tubes in the middle of the spares will be a Dimpled plate.. And i'm tired, and I don't know what else I have left.. Haha goodnight to all.

Looks really good Kevin. What other tubes are you going to put in? I'm thinking you should throw some X's in their.

On the tubes in the middle of the spairs, on the tube they hit near the middle of the bed, there will be tubes that spread to the bump stop. But I still have to make the plates to box in the frame right there.

And from the top of the hoop behind the cab, There will be tubes added from the top corners to the tube-junction right behind the cab. There gonna be 7 tubes meeting there.. Haha.

Also, We spent ALOT of time shaving those ugly, random edges off the frame that stuck out everywhere. We cut off 4 of them, and still have 2-4 more to go. We are going to box in the frame where the spair tired sit at so they don't get punctured from the frame. And where the rear hoop sits, there is a tube that will span the gap in the frame, and then we are going to box in that area of the frame as well. We are going to do the area above the bumpstops, as well as where the rear shackle hanger sits on the frame... It should be really strong once it has been completed.

I have been cleaning and painting random crap on my truck lately..

    The rear shackle hangers:

    1 of my ammo boxes:

And then the whole dang frame:

And I got bored, so I threw on a few things to see how it may look eventually:

I was at COSTCO picking up prints for a customer today, should have gone to the house through the 'back streets' so I could scope the truck.

Im going to walk over with blue tape one night and add some tubes to your cage.. lol

The truck looks great in person.
I was over again yesterday checking it all out.

We threw some door bars in too.....made out of electrical tape of course!

Haha, yeah. Thats the final design of my doorbars. Should be able to start on them tomorrow... Hopefully.

Updates.. haven't started on the door bars YET, Because my mom told my dad that she regrets buying me this truck cause all it does is sit. And me and my dad decided to do what we can to make it drive-able as soon as possible. So we welded all the tubes on the truck right now %100.. And are now focusing on bed-side mounts and shock mounts. The tranny also needs to be dropped to fix the clutch issue, and then get it smogged. We're just trying to focus on one thing at a time...

    Welds:

The last 2 tubes from the hoop downward:

And I was getting kinda crazy with my paint:

Thats it for now.. maybe tomorrow I'll get some more fab work done to it..

Can you smog it with that modified gas filler neck or are you gonna switch it out?

I have no clue.. Lol. When we bought the truck, the guy had it "smogged" yet it didn't have a single smog piece under the hood: no charcoal canisters, hardly any of the lines like vent tubes are there/hooked up.. there wasn't really anything. So I am just going by what my dad says it needs. I don't think the filler neck tube will be a problem though..
