im gonna get a 88-98 front clip for it like the autofab one that the SI motorsports one has. I want to keep the older style bed side though. gonna get the giant weld it yourself trailing arms for the rear when i get my stimulus check lol cant think of a better way to stimulate the economy haha

    whats up man,

I got your PM, and to answer your question, I have not started on the rear cage work for the KATZ 79'. I will have some more shots of the cage work next week.

i like what you have so far. The rust needs to go! But it looks like a good start. The rear down tubes seem to be in the correct location for load path and a good base build from.

not sure how much it costs or what your budget is like, but thats alot of scotch brite you would go through.... have you looked into the option of just getting the whole thing sand/bead blasted?

oh, and can't wait for the progress pics to begin

yeah well i have a sand blaster and a place to do it at too. im trying to get it rolling first so it is easier to move around you know? and it kinda messed up the bottom of the doors when it was on the trailer on the way home. so first order of business will be make it roll. but seeing as my wiring on my 94 silverado just went all "hay wire" today might be a little before i get more pics of progress but i am going to order the giant trailing arms in a couple of weeks. im way excited to actually have a truck haha

well finally got a little update... picked up some king pin beams today thanks to brad. time to start making things come together. Going to get the motor out of my dads 32 ford and we have a turbo 400 on the side of the house that we will be using. will keep update as progress is made.
