    Default project 94 toyota

figured id start a whole thread for my truck since its starting to come along.

    its a 94 toyota 4x4
    specs:

    Front: Matt Heltons gen 3 kit - coil-over - bypass - bump
    Rear: Back-halfed with Custom 4 link - coil-over - bypass - bump
custom currie axle with all tig welded dimple die trusses, 40 spline axles, 5/8 lugs, spooled, 4:56 gears, strange nodular case.
    32 gallon jaz fuel cell
    35 inch tires
caged front to back all DOM and almost all 1 3/4 .120 tubing
    beard race seats
blitzkrieg steering column with tenzo steering wheel mated with a sweet disconnect.

    heres some pics:

this is my first build and of course my first 4 link set up. i have so far barely any drive shaft plunge as far as i can see and very little pinion change but im not sure if u can see in the pic if things look right.
this is drooped out and the pinion is pointing down just a tad probably only a couple to few degrees, its not very drastic at all and i dont think there would be any binding. i think this was a pic at almost 30 or so inches of travel

let me know what you guys think

the less of an angle the better, if you can get the yoke pointing directly at the tranny at droop and level with the tranny at compression it would be ideal, if you get what i am saying. the less the u joint have to work the longer they will last.

The truck looks awesome man. I should have kept my Toyota! Do you have to get new rod ends for your coil-over? It looks like the seat for the spring hits the link.

i dont believe i have to get new rod ends, the shock was just resting up against the cab cuz its not mounted.

its a currie axle. funny thing is my gf's step mom is the daughter of jack chrisman of chrisman drivelines.

i know i gotta get the pinion up a little so im gonna mess with the heims, the upper is mockup only

got some work done on the truck this weekend, not much but we worked our asses off still.

cut out the rear firewall to push the fuel cell up and forward and to also get the upper links up more for more anti-squat. I made a crossmember between the c pillars to mount the uppers off of and I am making the brackets with 3 holes for adjustability for different driving conditions, granite it was only be about 2- 2.5 inches of adjustability but its better then nothin.

no updates yet. havent had time to work on it but should have updates tomorrow, but probably not on the back wall. anyway i plan to plate in the triangulation on the lower part of the cage in essence making a wall out of the lower half then plating the sides in along with the top and bottom to the back part of the cage. now sure if i explained it right or well enough it sorta makes sense to me.
