Default 2004 Frontier 4x2 Prerunner build

New to the site, only made a few posts, but i would like to share my build with you guys, Im putting on the Total Chaos long travel kit for the 1998-2004 Nissan frontier 4x2 I4 5speed (last kit they will ever make), along with the kit im doing a coilover conversion, Fiberglass front fenders, and for the coil overs they are FOX with Remote Res, anb Eitback(sry for spelling) springs. for the rear, i am going to do add a leafs, until i save up enough bones for some 62" deavers

My new shocks! (their beefy as hell AND I SWEAR THEY WEIGH 50 pounds each)

    Driver side fender off

Me fitting the fenders and marking lower front mounting holes (marker not in the picture LOL)

    Some Trimming LOL

Me drilling the lower holes (did them on the ground for the passanger side)

Drivers side on, front bumper off, taking off the passanger fender

    Passanger side fender on

Not the best pic but both fenders on

, The fenders will be painted after the kit is on.

Here are some pics of the tc kit not installed on the truck
    the complete kit

    Lower control Arm

    Upper control arm

and some pics of the welds on the shock brace (the piece of the kit that is on the far right of the first pic)

The kit is 100% cromolloy, and will give me 11" of travel!

and the trucks done... For now....

    heres the pics

And here is the hoops/coilvers/kit COMPLETE!
    ENJOY!

The stance, I need to get some stock shackles for the rear so i can bring it down a half an inch in the rear

Okay a set up for the vids im about to post, the dip that i take is a monster, a buddy of mines titan can take it at only 15mph w/o bottuming out, the first vid im goin about 35 mph, the second 45, i have a bit of trimming/pounding to do still but it rides nice, and surpiseing it isnt too ruff.

Before anybody starts bashing me on what i did, i made sure it was safe, let all traffic clear before i did this.

I need to put some more preload on the coilovers to get about 1 more inch of lift out of it, then im gonna call it good for a while.

    Kinda low for my liking.

And I would personally try to run that resi somewhere that wont cause such sharp angles on the hose.

im going to go ahead and say it because im sure somebody else noticed....you didnt tie the 2 shock towers together did you? That is alot of force trying to fold then in...may want to think about that.
Truck looks good though, nice job. Wish i could afford a TC kit.

yea i was a dumb ass and stoped looking at the instructions for the install after i got the stock junk off...... now i feel like a retard LOL (no wonder why im not getting my full lift....

The hoops are braced, (cant see them in the pictures) im eventually gonna do a engine brace to tie them into each other, i really cant change the way the hoses go (lowered the res some so its not such a sharp turn)

Hey so i just noticed that on your shock hoop you only had one support tube on the back..please tell me i am wrong haha
You should have two of them close to a V shape(Better support)
That stock steering is got to go soon, and then go with fully heim steering that Total Chaos offers called King Kong.
And yeah next time pay close attention to the instructions. They dont make them for no reason.
Besides all good luck, take your time and be safe.

yea it has 2 supports in a v shape, the other one is covered up by the CO, (the UCA's have been fliped to the correct postion now...) the TC written instructions were more confusing then the accual work (took 2 days to understand what the hell they were talking about).

The king kong steering upgrade will come in time. just dont have the cash left over for an upgraded steering, when the stock steering is still good(for now)

Okay good. I was like what the fuck i only see one
Yeah the King Kong steering is such an awesome upgrade to the Chaos kit in general.

So now that fliped your upper control arms to the correct positioning has the ride hight changed at all?
    Post some pictures?

not gonna do a body lift, gonna do some trimming/pounding of the wheel wells so i can have full stuffage (dont trust a body lift w/ a truck that is built for jumps/ect)

The plastic bumper is gonna be gone as soon as i can either learn how to weld OR have enough cash to buy one.

Dang so your truck is built for jumps and stuff haha just joking man.
    Anyways with all jokes aside...
Yeah so you shouldnt have a problem with your tires rubbing or hitting at all, and i mean since you have glass. I run 265/75(Which is a 31.5) and they have never rubbed at all.
If your looking for a bumper for your frontier and live in San Diego?
Then hit us up, we here at Bro-Dozer Motorsports will fab a custom bumper for you, but PM me if your interested or would like to get more info.

the overload springs were taken out (thats the metal to metal klunk you hear when i go through the dip)
The reason the rear is higher then the front in the pics are because of lift shackles i had in the rear (i previously had a Torsion bar crank/shackle lift on the truck)
as i said, the Upper arms are no longer upside down (havent had a chance to take new pics yet)

Im goin out for a test run on saturday, so i should have more pics then.

the truck is no means ready for racing.
pluss i already told a couple of my frontier buddies that i would go to their test spot with them (we are getting ready for a nissian only meet with [hopefully] 60+ nissans rangeing from rock cawlers to Prerunners)
