The light bar will hold up to nerf abuse. If I hit someone hard enough that the light bar fails and the front glass gets compromised, I have bigger things to worry about, lol.

Quick question... in one pic it seems like the fuel cell vent just goes straight to the back?

I thought it was supposed to wrap around the cell in a full loop? Am I mistaken... or was it just temporary(cant see it in most recent pics with Al light bar in back)

    truck looks niiiiiiiiiiiice

Breather line for cell passes 360 around the cell. Just hard to see. Breather line is not 100% routed or mounted yet.

    All,

Super nice day........... Temperature around 100 degrees. 30-40 miles east of SLO.

Nice sandy washed out riverbed with washboard sections. Lots of different lines.

Ran the truck hard for 2 hours. Truck handled great.

No issues other than a fuel delivery issue that revealed itself toward the end of the day.

Next stop............... Barstow for more testing..........

Super big thanks to Ken, Victoria, Susan, Dahlia & Pat.

But.. I have yet to see a truck look good with that glass.
Looks to bulky and wierd for me..
I like the old glass better.

    But in all seriousness, CONGRATS!
I know it's been alooooong time coming till you got to drive her. Glad she worked great.

Is that the Glassworks 1 piece? Personally I think it looks really good, IMO... seems to line up with the cab really good too.

Different strokes for different folks. There are other styles available.
In all reality it is designed to accommodate large tires but still looks decent with 35"s

That pretty front glass is gonna get smashed real good the first time Patty passes you on the inside, and whips her beefy rear bumper around..... whack!

Regardless, awesome to see it hit the dirt. Would have preferred to see it hit the dirt when it was supposed to at VORRA in March...

Can't wait to see it out there!

    Guess who's back........

After testing @ Poso, Barstow and racing a Vorra short course event, we realized the stock F150 uprights, spindles & brakes weren't going to cut it for us.

We ended up breaking an upright, once while testing, and again at the Vorra short course race.

So the DL7 went down to the shop in SLO.

Here's the list of completed upgrades:
Fabricated uprights, Weld-in snouts, Wilwoods, Camburg hubs, timkins, ect.....
Modified beam ends to accommodate new fabricated uprights.
Sorted out low RPM issue with a new chip from JaunCo. 6k RPMs now and running much stronger overall.
    Re-geared to a lower ratio.
    Diff skid plate from Blitz.
Full under belly aluminium skid plate.
Complete Howe steering system including ram assist.
    Green Sticker.
    Paint.

Headed down to SLO next weekend to sticker the truck.
Then to Barstow for some more testing.

Special thanks to the DL7 SLO Crew and all our sponsors.

Here's a quick cell phone pic of the upright. Not finished in the pic.

I am testing in Barstow on the 10th and will take some better pics of all of the new additions.

I'll post up pics & video when I get home.

It's wierd, I've had some that have gone years without problems and some that start comming off on the first start up. Nothing a hose clamp wouldn't fix though.......

I was just going to say that......I have had them come apart too and I now always use hose clamps over them. Never had a problem since.
