thought i would start a thread on my truck that i am building.. first 4 link...
here are some old picks of my rear suspension.
this weekend i am starting to mount the fuel cell.
here are some pics of stuff i got done today modified the mounting plate for the fuel cell ot put stock sending unit in and but a tank for the evap sensors to make the think they are in the thank for smog reasons also powder coated it today. still have to run lines and mount it.
no i remounted the shocks and now it pulls 22 with 11 inches of up travel.. i know it doesnt look like it but it does pluse it rides so much smoother.
yeah i know kind threw something together the night before we left for ocotillo .lol had some tubing and light and was like lets build a light bar really quick..lol
did you weld to the cast center on the stock 8.8?
...
yeah i have put alot of work into it. i will post some pics up of the front end too cuz it is new since the last time u saw it.
as for welding to the cast center i did. i have seen it done befor with the same rear end so i thought i would try it. if anyone knows much about it let me know.. always open to learn more.
still is going to have new hubs and spindels when i get the money to build them.
painted everything since this pic.
here are a couple of picks of the front end with everything all painted. put most of it together this weekend. i made the front cage all bolt on for certin reasons. i also got coils for the rear this weekend. didnt get too much work done though cuz i started a ranger that i will be building longtravel for .
here are so pics of the front end all put together i also am having fule lines made for the fuel cell. geting close...
here are some of the most recent pics of some little stuff i got done i am going to finish up everything today and maybe take it for a ride on the street if everything goes as planed..![]()

That box you made for the evap sensor is pretty trick. Keep up the great work.

thanks......i cant remember off hand but i am pretty sue it is 450 over 500 or 400 over 500.
link pockets are Giant motorsports weld it yourself kit. going to fab up some of my own to make it stronger and give the frame more strength i trussed my stock rear end for now until i get more money to buy a 9 inch. i boxed the whole frame. put fuel cell in, 1 and 1/4" heims on upper links with 1 3/4" .120 wall chrome molly tubing. Giant motorsports weld it yourself links which will be replaced by some that I fab up because those are too bulky and get too close to the frame on bump tavel. I had bought them a while ago so I figured I'd use them for now till I got around to making new ones.
