I have met you before a long time ago, and your borther wanted to trade his ranger when it was red for my older brother's blue 94 ranger. I know josh since we went to Glamis like 8 years ago or some shit like that. Also the entry fee's for a Baja race are nothing compared to the fuel, chase trucks fuel, insurance, hotel, food, and all that other stuff. I'd stick with the smaller races to start with. also my truck isn't street legal so I don't drive it around ever.

The pinch bungs on the kits are a "option". I put the pinch bungs on the radius arms as a bonus.

more sick pics to come tomo left camera in truck.. took all the goodies including the gmr stuff up to JSI motorsports new shop in santa maria... truck is gutted and 2" new cage starts going in monday, Josh said he is going to work 10 hour days on it, so we should see updates daily or every other day.....

if things go as plan, will be running a new non ball joint spindle set up, using 1" uniballs....

My old trailing arms and 9" are for sale, rrp bought the custom seats I had made

My new 2nd pair of fox 2.0x4" bumps are for sale, my 22 gal cell is for sale

the tires and rims are for sale...

Oh JSI is going to knock out a sick boxed beefy engine/shock hoop cross brace for me

we will be running 2.5s all around a 16 c/o and 18 triple bypass rear with 4" bump, and 14s and 4" bump in the front.... going to dual quad strap every corner on clevis, thats pretty much for now

if any of you need info or contact info on any of the people helping out with this let me know.... wait to you see the goodies from gmr.

Sounds like you are going backwards more then forwards. 175 cage will pass no problem and will be safe. Keep it simple and stick to the plan. Save $$$$$ and time that way.

Its already out, i rather there be no doubts, especially with a v8 going in. Why sacrifice safety for a couple weeks of work?

A 1.75 cage is safe, especially with the amount of tubing you had in there.

I agree, SCORE rules say no. Plus im not a fan of sub frames. Wasn't my idea.

Im covering the cost of the 2" since its my preference, the old cage though is NOT going in the scrap bin, going in a 1500 Ranger were it will work great for that application.

Not sure why you guys are so scared of 2"

Why are you running the heim horizontal on the top of the housing? From my experience the upper heim lasts longer when ran vertical.

The hiem should last the same Vertical or horizontal. Especially if the geometry is set up correctly. If you have to much pinion change your going to wear out the hiem no matter how you mount it. I had a freak incident a few years ago while running the hiem vertical. I landed sideways on the rear corner and popped the ball right out of the hiem. Ever since I have been doing the upper link mount on the wishbone horizontal.

Heims ran horizontal seem to last quite a bit longer in my experiences. And that is both set up on trucks with very little pinion change

some updates from today, JSI took out the Energy Suspension cab mounts (only in truck for few months and truck was not driven for sale) he replaced them with a sold mount. He started mounting the front kit, got one A pillar in and dash bar...plasma crap out so that going to make cutting take a lot longer, unless someone wants to rent theirs out to us.
