Im gonna run my BTF links still. Since im now doing the whole build and the front is 85" wide the back needed a 9in so picked up an econline rear so the back will be 82" wide.

I think this is about where the tyranny will sit... gotta put the motor in so we can make sure cage and engine will be done properly without any interference!

You can push those tabs towards the end of the houseing ends for more clearence.. looking good by the way, cage too

Was going to push them out but I didn't want to redo the frame mounts unless it needs to be done. But it will work where they are at im just gonna leave it like that.

Been busy with life so here is a small update. Hope to get rolling on cage again soon. Made 3 of the upper 4 link tabs... obviously there is alot more plate to these. Just the start... and made plates for lower link tabs.

Im confused do mean centered at off bottom or coming straight off front of housing?
Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
On the last rear I put them at a 15* angle off the bottom center these are just a little more still favoring the bottom. Trying to get more ground clearance on links.

everytime you trigger weld or whatever can cause a higher chance between each lil tack weld for a stress riser causing stuff to tear apart. versus a continuous weld is solid without a chance of fail, it gives a chance for the material to heat up for better fusion, and it looks cleaner without that brown caca ha. that would be my guess. truck is coming out pretty good! like the front end!

Gotcha.... the guy doing 95% of my welding does continuous welding. Ive always trigger welded and have just made sure there are no air pockets between welds and made sure there was good penetration. But thanks for advice! I appreciate it!

Sold my current BTF links and Brandon is currently welding up my new BTF canoe style links. Thanks again to Brandon and Travis for supplying great products! Stand up guys all around!

that is wrong sorry for putting you on blast, but continous vs. pulsing is no differnence in heating the matierial continous does look alot cleaner but if you know how to do pulse and make it clean it can turn out way better. And for the stress rising i have never heard of that maybe it could be from now joint the weld all the way together half my truck is pulse welded and half is continous.
"DONUTS ARE AWESOME , THEY ARE DELICIOUS."
Well im going to do continuous welds from here on out when I weld. Just gotta practice cuz like I said I have always trigger welded and have never had anything break from it so that's why I continued to do it.

And as far as brown caca when trigger welding if you push the weld it doesn't turn out brown.
