I know that spun bearings and a previously mentioned "existing" cracks are substantial culprits for that ish. Even your cheaper aftermarket axles with Timkens are going to have more strength in general. So seeing this issue again on the side you replace with suprise the hell out of me. But one thing that people dont always understand, And Im saying this for Andrews knowledge, Lance has a small bearing housing, that means that there is no size difference in the axle from a 28 to 31 spline. They have the same shank size where the bearing is pressed on (if he sheared the axle where the splines were than the words "28 from 31" of weakness would now be able to be called insufficient). Now if your talking about a big bearing roller or big bearing tapered style, Then yes, the size changes. So if this is a regular occurance for Lance, then he needs to toss out that 28 spl stuff.
