Well..... most of it is true. But it is hand picked, and obviously biased. You could make a hell of a lot worse videos about other countries. Nazi Germany, Communist Russia, China, err, and Communist country.

EDIT: Just noticed that it was made by Micheal Moore. That explains everything.

lol i like how there is allways key info they left out and how he words it. like in the part where he talks about the 2nd amendment it goes "which leads us to slavery" which most un-educated people will combine the two especially because people believe anything they see on tv or the internet now-adays. about the white people kidnapping black people, BS most of the times it was other africans selling them into the slave trade. and blaming sam colt? come on. "first weapon ever to be fired without reloading" fuck id like one of these guns too. i could go on and on, and try to rebutle this whole thing but id like to read what others have to say.

It's a clip from Bowling for Columbine... so obviously very anti 2nd Amendment in the first place.

It's all a load of shit and biased crap that should not be shown in school period. Whether High School, College, etc, I would have (and actually have many times) walked out and gone directly to the administration to log a complaint. Sad thing today when a student has to educate their teachers on some subjects.

Well there you go on his line of reasoning... Jesus was a jew, so yes not the flowing brown haired light complected person we all see in the pics, but he also didnt have an afro!

Just take it as one more piece of the puzzle, combine it with everything else you've seen or learned, make your own damn decisions and conclusions and be on with it. No one can GIVE you the whole picture. This teacher is "teaching" you this version, and other teachers will do the same to the far right. We live in the middle but its up to you to figure that out.

there's always a time and a place to stick up for what you believe in. In this case, I feel just let it go.

well first of all... if he's talking about Religion in the class room and trying to convince you something that has to do with Religion... that's Illegal.. so I say you can stick to what you believe on that and feel free to give your opinion. As for this video.. I don't see what you'd say about it?

I would be cautious to engage a teacher since they will be judging and dictating your final grade. You are there for the nest mark you can get onto your transcripts. If your watching cartoons in class, the education our tax dollars just paid for is worthless in the real world and full of inflation in the classroom.

eh I dunno about that one... Changing a grade by standing up for what you believe in? Pretty sure if he alters your grade for saying your opinion he's gonna get in a heap of trouble...

Not really...
At the beginning of every year, you pretty much sign away your rights to the school.

Sure stand up for what is right absolutely. But your teacher seems to be biased and may not be open to discuss other POVs. It just may not be worth your time and effort.

If the instructor is receptive and showing you this stupid ass cartoon, that I did not care to watch, to culture cognitive thought and analysis, than it is a different scenario.

I personally thought it was funny, but maybe it is just me. Find a better skit or clip that goes against your teachers views and show him/her that

Look your opinion doesn't matter in class. Your ability to discuss a topic, connect ideas, make conclusions and LEARN matter in class. Personal opinion is NOT what school is for. Its clear that movie is one sided, but you aren't supposed to pick a side from watching it. If a movie that simple changes how you see the world, you are simple minded human and will end up in a cult.

I wasn't there for the lesson so I have no idea what the teacher was trying to get across. But even if you don't agree with it (hell especially if you don't agree with it) you should try to learn whatever it was the teacher is trying to explain.

I got A's by discussing the lesson, not my opinion. I hated most of the books I read in school, but they don't ask you to like them, they ask you to learn from them. When you figure that out life is actually easier.

And this is 100% incorrect. Teaching, or talking about religion is NOT illegal. Injecting religion into the school process (making you pray, say the word god, allah, buddha etc.,) is what got banned. Studying religion as it pertains to the state approved unit is important.

the problem with a lot of teachers now days is that they are liberal and they show all of these misleading videos. most ignorant kids will believe it and go on in life spreading more misleading information. i love when you ask teachers like the one mentioned where they get there information from, and low and behold its from some sort of book or paper written by another liberal. they are the blind leading the blind and have know clue what the truth is in life.

Very true. Its sucks that our school systems are getting sucked dry of our republicans......I guess its just because all these liberal hippies are happy making chicken scratch and spreading thier one-sided views......while us republicans take their knowlegde, get jobs in society, make more money, and have fun with life instead of trying to make everyone feel as much as a pathetic loser as they are.

I am personally getting sick and tired of every professor at my college being some liberal hippy trying to mind fuck everyone.......but I'm glad I'm done with all my G.E. and my engineering courses have no ground for political conversation.
