Thread: 2500HD chevy long travel kit

I am looking for a long travel kit to replace the lift i currently have...i want to get a smoother ride with better handling, completely ditch the torshin bars and go to a coil over lift, truck is 4x4 though

i wont jump the truck but i just want something a little more capable in the dirt without having to replace ball joints all the time

or if someone can build me a kit that would be great btw the truck is dieselt

you want a full blown LT kit? BMS makes a bolt in coilvoer/ upper arm kit or a LT kit with spindles and upper and lower uniball arms.

to the op, id look into killer off road. thay make a bad ass LT kit for the HD's!!

right, i was thinking of the 1500 kit.
upper arm is your only option then.

Pure performance also makes a kit. They were at the off-road expo with a red dmax. It's an interesting kit for a bit steep of a price but it does come with dual aluminum coilover shocks and they sell just the pieces to upgrade your existing 6" lift knuckle kit.

I would look into Dixon bros, i think they offer a kit for 4x4.....

99-06 half ton 4wd.

Theres a guy on here some where that released a coilover frontend +4 i think for the Duramax. Cant remember the name of his company. Arms,shocks, hoops for like $4500-$5000

The 1500 & 2500's front suspensions are totally different. All '01 & up 2500's including HD trucks, Hummers, Avalanche's, & all the SUV's are the same though.

yeah their site does say that on the header of the page but i have no idea why.....perhaps they are planning on adding some 3/4 ton parts or kits later....but trust me and as v8ranger said the half and three quarter tons are totally different trucks. the only similarity is that they both share a torsion bar style set up. just look at the frame rails on an HD, they are like 10" tall!!!

yea i would be really interested to talk with dixon, i doubt that kit would fit but why out of all the kits availible the dixon is the nicest and cheapest. Its great but makes no sence

Its a different upper arm, and knuckle parts. Similar to the 1500, just built for the 2500 platform.
