Default Ford 8.8 and 9 Axle Tube Diameter?

Is it the same? What is the size?

I want to order this:Deaver LT Spring Under WIY Kit, Partial [DEAV70] - $120.00
Which I intend to run on my stock nissan axle with 3" OD Axle tubes.

    Thanks

My 9" axle is 3.25" diameter... If that helps anything.

    measure it!

axle tube diameter varies upon model, type, year, etc. Theres more than a few 9" and 8.8" applications.

3" is prob close though, if not its going to be bigger so maybe a little grinder work and you will be good to go.

I think most 9" rearends are 3.25" I got a cad file from a friend to build u-bolt eliminator setup. The cad file was designed for a ford 9" and the hole for the tube was 3.25" Its also the same diameter as a toyota 8.4" rearend. Don't know if that helps any since your using it for a Nissan

^ The input still helps. The primary concern for my question is U-bolt width. How bad can it be if I run those made for 3.25" width on my 3" width axle?

Thats roughly 1/8" on each side of the axle. I wouldnt recommend using 3.25" ubolts on a 3" housing. That makes it where the ubolt is only contacting 1 spot on the housing. where if you have the 3" ubolts its making contact on the top half of the housing.

TC sells them for 80 bucks. Im sure that if ruff stuff will sell them separate it will be a hell of a lot cheaper

Never run a 3.25 U-bolt on rearends with 3" axle tubes...
