Default David Munoz' 94 Ranger - Getting it race ready

I'm finishing this truck for David Munoz, Thugl1fe07 on here. He has a 94 Ranger supercab with a 4.0 5spd. Custom dana44 beams and national leafs. He plans to race 1450 and wants to get a race or two in this year, if the truck is ready in time. I'm going to be mounting the front clip, making a front bumper, adding door bars, mounting a light rack, cutting off the rear cage and redoing the spares TT style and rear bumper, mounting TT bedsides, and some other misc. stuff to get it ready to race.

Here's some pix of the truck:

So far I've mounted the clip and started the bumper. More pix to come later.

The original plan was to back half and go with Giant links. He changed his mind because this project has already taken like 2+ years to get where it's at. He wanted to get it in the desert and use it asap, so he went with the leafs.

    Thank you!

Also, I don't remember who the truck was originally built by, but Solo Motorsports did some freshening up on it. David will have more info on that.

Thank you! I wanted to link it soo bad but like Greg said above I have been building this truck for almost 3 years and linking it would have put me back even further. I'm more then happy with the leafs, I couldn't believe how well it handled and how well it takes some of the bigger hits.

Take your springs to national or who ever, and have them add a lot of arch to that pack. I did the same thing with my national 10 pack and it makes a world of a difference. Trust me, you will want that up travel and pre-load when you start to mash on it.

This weekends progress...spares done, bumper done, rear cage needs a few more tubes, then finish welding it all up.

hey greg, can you get me a pic with the spare tires on, im looking to do the same set up. but wondering if the hub dealo for the rim will over lay the frame rails. if it does, it will make getting my cell out tricky.

Na, like I said, the center of the wheel is about 2" from the outside edge of the frame. If you have to, you can push the wheels a tad further apart and/or cut the "hub"/mount flat to be even with the inside of the frame. This one has all 5 holes used, you only need 3, so there will be plenty of room to make it work.
Or get some tube clamps and make the tubes the "hub"/mount is on removable to get your cell out. C'mon man, do I have to think of everything for you. Just bring your truck over to me YOUR DOING IT WRONG! haha
