Default Brenthel Baja Clip anybody know anyone who has used one?

I have some questions for someone who has experience with this clip. And would like to see pics of it being used.

What do you mean a Baja clip? You referring to suspension or like a fiberglass clip?

Oh alright gotcha, I've seen those. Csnt post pics right now but I'm pretty sure there is a "Trophy truck" built by Brenthel on race-D under race vehicles. It's black if I remember right and prob has that front clip

when did they build a TT?

I know they built a class 6 for RFS that is now for sale, along with a class 10. If you play your cards right you can get their stuff very cheap, the Long Beach Racers picked up a full Y frame and suspension for basically what the material cost is, and that was directly from them.

I just posted up the same question on RDC. Here is the link to the kit- Build Your Own Trophy Truck

Looks like a good deal for the price, but I would like to see/hear from some people that have actually used one.

I agree that Blitzkreig does amazing work, but the price between them and the Brenthal kit is huge. Going off the prices on their websites it is $13,650 vs. $5,000 for arms, uprights, and the bulkhead/front clip.

I'm not saying that the Blitz stuff isn't worth every penny, but $9K can buy some pretty nice shocks/hubs/steering/etc.

For someone on a budget, is the Brenthal kit worth checking out?

BMS has several options. The site is about 2 - 3 years old so please dont judge off of that for pricing. That is the baller status TT parts that you refferring to, the Brenthel stuff is MIG welded and not the same as the TT parts from BMS.

If you are serious, call nate. I know for a fact he has a few options that you will be interested in .

Good info- I will def give Nate a call before doing anything to get more options from Blitz. I would still like to get some firsthand feedback on the Brenthal kit for comparison though.

While you are looking at bulkhead setups, you might as well talk to Mazzula and Camburg too. I know Mazzula offers a setup and pretty sure the Burg will/does also. Quite a few options out there that might be pretty competitive when it comes to the money:value ratio.

Yeah, I will check them all out, although most likely I will just have H&M build my front end around their TT arms. But I always like to look at all options, and the Brenthal kit just seems like a really great price. Does anyone know if any of these kits are in use?

Doesnt say anything about materials used, brand of heims and what not either. I'd be curious to see what it all is.

FYI- Jonathan from Brenthal returned my call tonight and answered a few questions that I had. This was designed as an economical kit similar to their TT kit but with some differences to bring the costs down. 1018 mild instead of cromo, mig welded, pinch bung rod end inserts, no weld washers, etc. I still think it is a great price for what you get and is probably plenty strong for anything short of a TT. Trying to compare it to Blitz or Mazulla probably isn't fair, since that is not what it is trying to compete against.
