    Courtesy of the SEMA show..

Everything on this truck was bolt-on. I guess the owner maybe had plans to make it go back to stock??? I also wonder if it was vinyl wrapped over the stock paint.. Who knows, maybe he just rented to the truck, bolted it all on, took it to the show, then unbolted it all and returned it to the dealer.. haha.

the steering on that big truck isnt anything special, its the only way you can do it on a front 4-linked vehicle if you dont want bumpsteer, and you dont use hydraulics (which completely suck for steering by the way). its been done that way for years.

rednecknate, your fab work looks really clean, but im not quite getting the design on the trailing arms... why do they dip down so deep right there? it creates a pretty decent weak point in the arm. im sure its much much stronger than it needs to be anyways so im not saying by any means that its going to fail, but just curious

Hey Esb Mike thanks on the compliment...this is on my shop truck The design is way over built ther 1/4 plate" the dip was for style and to get the centerline low..youd have to see the rest of the arm..a good friend of mine acctually gets alot of the credit..the whole suspension...was done on solid works its acctually got an adjuster on the top of the link for pinion angle change.. it only cycles about 16''s or so with less than 3/8'' thrust at bump and 1/2" at droop with a track bar...and hardly any squat... so its fine 4 my street truck. keeps the stock tank..and rides and handles like a dream with no sway bar....was kinda a risk but time was an enemy....We built the whole truck after hours in 8 weeks for sema..to bare frame and back..!!! over all i think if i were using the truck it would be diiferent...i Probrobly 4 linked i built the truck to look cool and thats about it.....

The guy with the blue subframe and shock hoops needs to go to Tube Benders Anonymous. And that quad is stunning, in the worst possible way. I don't even see axles...

They remind me of Jeep front links. What guys dont understand is they are fine for your application. You're not looking for wheel travel. Anyways, I agree with Mike, clean work.

dont you need some type of upper link to control the side to side movement of the rear end? Seems that there would be tons of load applied to that trailing arm

the guy with the black tahoe with the blue subframe's name is Jason(i think) and ive talked followed his build up of that truck and he did a good job on it i think. it was built for nothin more then shows and to be the tallest truck u could possibly build. the truck he has now is allot nicer but i still respected his truck. hes a pretty modest guy and his subframe was built by a shop if i remember right. even though i wouldnt drive that truck cuz its not my taste i still respect him for building it to be what it is. sorry for sounding like a bitch but the guy is pretty cool and he didnt have anything to do with the fab on that subframe.

This thread makes me want to punch people in the face.

As far as the XJ though, ppl chop em up all the time without even reinforcing em, but they don't run em at high speed offroad like that, and with the tire clearance that guy has, I hope he doesn't either.

And once again, I wanna punch ppl in the face now.
