I would have to see that to believe it. With the amount of scrub that thing has, it can't be easy on the steering. Not to mention it probably has a mile of bump steer.

Can you imagine trying to turn the steering wheel while sitting still? Fugg, the whole truck would want to move forward on it's own.

To me it looks like the "Spindle" over the tire isn't actually what the tire pivots on, it only looks like it is there for vertical movement. There could be another "spindle" built into that one that we can't see that pivots for turning..

Picture a solid front axle "C" knuckle.. Then build mounts for an upper a-arm and lower a-arm to pivot off of. While the "C" doesn't turn left and right, it does pivot up and down. The "spindle" incise the "C" allows the tire to turn. I think it may be the same concept.

    Um......no LOL.

SFA knuckles work just like beam knuckles. Besides, the amount of leverage on a system like the one you are trying to describe would destroy it in short order.

It is quite simply a giant fugly ass upright with backwards SAI.

seems like all the stress and lack of leverage from having backwards kpi, errr sai, ( sorry, i beams fo life) on that "upright" would be a bitch turning the wheels, especially at inclines, stopped, etc..,... i dunno, could be wrong, just thinking about it in my head. seems like weight spread on the wheels would be wack

wtf on the shocks??? that makes no sense at all, the one shock is connected on both ends with another hose clamped to it??

and the steering does look to terrible compared to the other stuff.

Nope, the upper pivot is a uniball, the whole spindle turns. I had the chance to view it in person at the off road show a couple of years back. The "formed" sheet metal gusset on the upper arm is pretty classic to, it does absolutely nothing structurally...........

if the spindle was fixed to the upper no movement would be possible.

What I like about this set-up, is that they could have used 2 tabs with a nice radius on them and had a fairly decent looking product, but instead chose to bend some flat-stock and leave nasty square corners. What's that on anyway? I'll start building them nicely and slanging them for $285.

The Abortion keeps getting worse and worse. It's like a Where's Waldo thing. How many things can you spot wrong. And yes this thing gets driven on the street. Good thing I don't live anywhere near West Verginia.

As for the steering link I posted. It's built by stonecrusher. They apparently redesigned the 3/16 thick tab, but have not seen one picture of the new setup. $295 for that!
