The truck on white lane is, what it is. lol

My pant pocket hooked onto its front bumper and the alarm sounded, it was ridiculous I wanted to drop kick his door just for the simple fact my ears were ringing.. I hear you on the geometry thing..

Well for starters, the rear spring rate is way off, looks to only have an inch of preload from one picture, so it sits stinkbug, upper arms look questionable as well as the centerlink, I guess I could go on but this is the crappy fab work section isn't it?

I'm actually kinda impressed with the rear-end truss on thet f150, not particilarly well executed but a really cool idea. The dash bar really needs help though, it's a bad idea that's been executed very poorly.

I wonder how many hours the customer payed for on that truss. At least he saved some money over a 9". Oh, wait.

I'm not sure why it doesn't work but my friend used to work at FST and now is the new owner of fly n hi. He's a real cool guy. His name is Jermey. And he's got alot of connections between FST and Transamerican wholesale. But FST Does some really good work just alittle slow.

yeah and my first post was this month. post counts are pointless now days.

check the post count from my old name. better yet the name befor that. robert is a cool dude. he runs with jason who has the blitz kit off travis expo. they in turn run with koop fab. i had a talk with him last night. my only problum with him was solved. it wasnt even a issue with his work but what had to be done to a kit brought to him in order to make work. done deal.

like i said the only thing roberts truck has on it that the dezert guys dont like is the wide massive offset wheels. it still handles great and has decent power. he plans on skinnier wheels and tires once he wears them out. his problum is he cant seam to wear them out. and he still launches the shit out of it the way it is.

of coaurse hes going to come on here as his first post to defend his truck. it happens. ide do it to but i dont carte any more and just try to help people out. how ever i didnt know this was the truck in question. or i my self whould have stuck up for him.

Yeah, I was actually picking up some windshields for work and some plate for myself. I saw your truck on White Lane. I stopped by to check it out after work. I would have tapped on your door, but hey most people work so I figured no one would be home around 2 in the afternoon. The alarm went off when I went to look at your front end.

    Lets overview the situation.
    1. Your angry because I said your alarm was annoying.
    2. You just represented "Koop Fabrication" quite well.
    3. You threaten me for being an off-road enthusiest and wanting to check out your truck.

So.. The mature way to go about this would be to say "Well, lets take both of our trucks out and see how they do. I am the guy who eye *ucked your masterpiece. No harm done there..

    Thanks,

He is referring to the fact that we have no fucking clue what he is talking about. Think about it for a second.... after a hundred or so trucks get posted in this thread- one random dude comes in, pissed because his truck was mentioned. We have no way of knowing who he is or what he is talking about.

and shit, 95 posts 2/3rds into the month- we will have a new post king soon enough!

man its like highschool all over again! and by the way that linked f150 is a friend of mines son and he built that truck with his uncle...he is 16! and has better fabrication skills then most reputalble shops around cali. and as for robert I have seen his truck around for a long time since I used to think fabtech was cool! lol I beleive the only thing that was done by koop was his cage. Its a clean truck and I have seen it stay in one peace for probably about four or five years...so it cant be done that bad!

It wasn't about him being new or anything. It was more that other than those that know hime personally no one knows who he is, so to come on a thread where probably a hundred trucks have been bashed and defend yourself without identifying your truck first doesn't really work.

Posted before I finished reading new posts.

yeah hes having a bad ass custom fiberglass box made....its going to be a chase truck....so start bashing if you may... His dad races in jeepspeed and his dad has many friends in the racing industry....its his toy/chase vehicle. the only reason why somebody would bash that truck is in pure jealousy. There is not one short cut on that truck its fully caged everything is well built it has a fully custom interior with race radios for all four seats inside and is all around a bad ass truck.

This is Jeremy from Koopfab...I was kinda wondering if that's the truck that Marty built and if it's the same truck that goes to Garces? The truck has a lot of time and money in it and it looks good.

Not desert fab, but it deserves to be in this thread anyway. He changed the cage a little bit, but it used to be all miter-cut tubes, butt welded going in all sorts of dangerous angles. He still claims that it's perfectly safe since he doesn't plan to roll it too hardand it's DOM and therefore unbreakable, but who plans to roll their rig in the first place

I'll try to dig up pics of the suspension, it's worse.

it looks in the pictures as if the truck was just pushed out of the shop. most likely the fuel cell is dry and it was built to haul around a bike so if you add that five or six hundred pounds it most likely sits level. the front end is built like many many class 8 trucks have been built for years, with a sub frame. i am not a huge fan of any of the fst builds, but uneducated criticism is uncalled for.
