Thanks guys. I'm excited to have a deadline to force myself to knock this thing out.

Truck is gonna get resprayed silver, but not till after the expo and it is all finished. All exterior tube work will be semi gloss black. Interior tube work will be silver as well.

I got em from a friend of mine who happens to be one of the editors from Petersens 4wd magazine. Next time I see him I'll ask where he got em from.

Anyway, few updates from tonight. Found a use for the Torchmate computer other than playing Pandora.

It's pretty dialed in on 3/16"

    What winch?

    Peek a boo

Few more things and the front bumper will be wrapped up.

Thanks man. The list is getting shorter and shorter. Can't wait to finish it up and start back in on a desert truck haha.

Anyway, finished the front skidplate. Came out nice. Its all countersunk and mounted with flush mount hardware.

Then moved onto the belly skid. Put the torchmate to work again.

Made some bungs and welded them into the frame for to mount up the skid.

The belly skid plate looks good! Looks heavy tho. Can one person mount it up and screw it in place?

One person and a floor jack, yes lol. It's 3/16". Prolly weighs about 45 lbs, so it's not too bad.

Thanks, it has def come a long way. I'd like to bring it to new years out at JV, but I don't want to wheel it until it gets a photoshoot in for Petersen's. So we'll see.

Thanks man, ask and you shall receive; Progress pics!!

I'm happy to declare that tear down is well under way

Bin of parts that will be sent to powder coat.

Light bar mount all finished up.

Just a few more bits of fab to complete as tear down continues. Then it'll be time for paint while all the bolt on components get powder coated.

    UCA and trans x-member gusseting

Never showed off the exhaust, but here's a quick pic of it more or less finished.

I'll try to update better as progress continues towards completion.

Yeah, I've been slacking. Been putting in a lot of hours at work, so haven't had a lot of time or motivation to finish painting. I'll post up some updates soon.

Yeah, I was out there at New Years. I was cruising around in Frank's (Beat95YJ) truck, "The Tank" You prolly saw it running around.

But anyway, I finally have some updates...

I really hate painting, so this whole process has taken me quite awhile longer than most. But here's where I'm at as of tonight....

    Masking:

    Masking:

    And more masking:

and just like that, she's fully painted....

I'm also happy to say that reassembly has begun.

I still have a few more of the bolt on components to paint, and still need to send out everything else to powdercoat later this week.

But for now, here's a teaser of some of the goodies that's back from the platers.....

Still lots to do, but I should have updates more frequently now. Stay tuned for the final push to completion....

Thanks a lot man, the positive feedback really helps push me along to the finish.

Slowly but surely going back together. Am at a standstill right now as I need to order the last few parts and am waiting for parts to come back from powdercoat. But here's where I'm at as of now.

    Winch / front skid installed

    Undercarriage put back together

    Fuel system hooked back up

Gas tank cover weatherstripped and installed along with rear seat and sub mocked in place.

And engine bay reassembled as far as I can go as of now. Cut off the stock PS reservoir I had mounted and added a PSC one. Stocker didn't quite have the capacity for the hydro assist.

Ordering wiring and final parts this week. Expecting powdercoat parts back this week as well. I'm on the downhill run.....

Nah, I don't think so. I'm thinking a possible end of February completion date but who knows.
I don't plan to take this out to JV for awhile. I want to work out all the bugs and get a magazine shoot in before beating it up too bad.

Pretty busy. Both front and rear axles are in along with their thirds. Need to paint the knuckles and get some misc axle seals and what not to finish putting them together. Plenty of other stuff to do in the meantime though.

Illusion. Lowers are a tad longer than the uppers. Uppers have a bend in them, that might be what's making em look longer in the pic.

On all 4 wheels as of tonight. Thanks to a couple friends and a full day of shit talking, we got the front end back together and she's sitting on the ground.

It's getting pretty close now. Front e-locker is wired, along with all the aux lighting and air compressor. Still waiting on the rear harness to come in at the dealer so I can wire up the rear locker. Mini LED switches turned out super clean in all the factory option delete locations.

Shooting to take this thing on it's maiden voyage at EJS in April.

Interior wiring all done with the exception of stereo and race radio. Found a t-case shifter boot off a sidekick that fits perfect and put all the interior back together.

Front grill on, along with fully wired winch.

All that's left to wire is headlights, and hook up the fan. Bled the brakes and steering today. Truck fired right up and purred as always. Should be driving it around next week.

Definately the cleanest Tracker I've ever seen!

On a side note, is there a build thread or more pics of that F-100 anywhere?

I have a bunch more pics. There's a build thread on it on Pirate4x4, here's a link to that thread:

That trucks next on the chopping block once I dial in this one. I can't wait to get going on it.

    Well, it saw daylight today.

Unfortunately, I think the rear third might be toast. It's making some pretty horrible whining in the rear both on and off the gas. Guess I'll be pulling the rear axle apart this weekend to try and track down the problem. :mad3:
