That has to be the biggest pile of shit I've seen. What, did Fabtech or Dick Depek build that for you !!!
Just kidding, it looks sweet. *When it's all done, I wanna see that thing in person. Have Matt or jeremy here do up a feature article on it for the site.

looks way sick. Ilike it alot. Looks like ill have to cruise it that weekend too. My piece should be done.
1997 Explorer XLT 5.0
-5 inch over custom tig welded arms and spindles
-Hydratech hydroboost brakes, Howe PS pump and filter
-Deaver 62 springs with 12" shackles and Fox 18x2.5 3 tube bypasses
-F-150 8.8 w/ LSD and 4.56, Wilwood brakes-Full 2 in DOM cage and bumpers
If its all done you can bet your ass i will be out there in ocotillo with you guys. there are still some things that need to be done to it so i will have to wait and see. gotta run the battery cables, cooler lines, fuel lines, paint etc. maybe the paint can wait. i have to break in the gears as well since i just put some 4:56 and a locker in and only have 7 milies on them. we'll see. if i dont make it on that trip i'm sure there will be plenty more.
Jason
Word of advice, paint those tubes before that thing see's dirt, because it will never be as clean as it is now.
Are you trailering that thing home from Camburg or is it still driveable?
::: CAMBURG ENGINEERING ::: 714-848-8880 ::: "Race proven & championship winning suspension"
Lookin good. I wish I had a bunch of guys working on my truck - amybe then I would make a little progress. Yours is damn close to being done - lucky bastard.
Oh, and it looks like you got room for one more spare angled up between the shock hoop and on top of the fuel cell. Steve
I think I am going to trailer it home. depends if they drop the fuel tank.
I probably will paint everything before it sees dirt.
Jason
hey me and jeremy saw it on mon, it looks really good. the cage came out clean, i want to build mine like that. miko (sp?) was painting the front of the frame and shock hoops when we were there and the stock fuel tank was on the floor. im not sure if they were gonna paint the rest.
so you gonna make it to ocotillo on the 19th?
I wish I could make it. My first trip with the truck probably wont be until after Nov. 5th. There are alot of things I have to do to the truck once I get it back and I have a couple of weekends booked already with other things. Hopefully you guys have a trip scheduled after Nov. so we can meet up.
Jason
thats cool man, we are always going out, it usually works out to 2 dezert trips a month so we will be going sometime in november im sure.![]()
damn you west coasters and all your race shops, and tracks/dezerts to play in.![]()
There is a MDR race November 22nd in Barstow I believe.
I think the race is called the Stoddard 250. I'm pretty sure I will be there pitting/prerunning. I think I may have seen you guys at the last MDR race in Lucerne at the wall. I'm pretty sure that guy with the baja shop equal lenght I-beams was jumping his truck there.
Jason
ya that was us.
yea you should have cruised over man we were all there had a good time too.

drooooooooool siiiiick man can i have it![]()
scott over at mesa hose let me take my truck there last weekend and work on it in back of the shop. he hooked me up with all the fittings. shit gets expensive...
Jason
My shit cost $300 to set up at Earls!
sounds about right. now i got to do the tranny cooler lines.
Jason
The trucks looking good. Scott at Mesa Hose rules BTW. Very helpful guy.
Also, where do you live? If you're up at Scott's you must be local. I do all my engine work out of my uncles shop in Costa Mesa. It's in the same complex/parking lot as Porterfield brakes (Off Placentia St. - it's the one in the back w/ Lamborghini's and Ferraris out front all the time). Then my actual truck (or parts of it) are Right off 19th street at my friends house/shop. Maybe we could meet and I could see the beast in person? Steve![]()
