Yes. The 4.2 l v6 is basically a 351 w 2 cylinders missing. That is why I have always recommended that motor for anyone doing a swap. It's a v6 that a v8 trans bolts right up to. And the nice thing about buying a v6 trans is it hasn't had the same power going threw it so its parts are gonna last longer.
Depending on what the motor came out of u might need a new flywheel/clutch the mustang used a 10.5 and the trucks used 11 so if u have a mustang flywheel and try putting it together the starter wouldnt work so u need to make sure u have an 11in flywheel
