I'm heading to Vegas through the weekend. Any Prerunner shops worth checking out?

at least you only bought the truck with that bedcage and not already had the truck and took it there to have the bedcage installed. that would be shittier. look at it as you bought a truck with a shitty bedcage and a shittier engine you had the engine fixed now get the bedcage fixed... find a garage fabber or try out the new winward (they kinda popped outta no where). or see if woolworth will give it a second chance for FREE!!!

Whoopty do, I get compliments on my truck all the time from a lot of people yet I know it's a POS and the fab work is crap... Compliments from people that don't know anything other then "sick truck dude" don't mean much...

The F150 project they have is coming along nicely...The rear cage work looks a little funk to me but Jason is running springs for now and will eventually upgrade to links so the cage is built around the fact that he will change eventually...without having to redo the whole rear cage

pics of said f-150? And I have seen a lot of Robby's work first hand and thought it looked great. And I do know what is and isn't shit fab. Robby put a bumper on my friend's ranger and we smashed into the back of a car doing about 40..minus a busted fog light and some scratched off paint, there was no damage to the front of the truck or bumper whatsoever. The other car on the other hand was destroyed.. looking to see if I still have pics of the "incident".. I think the anti-woolworth campaign is just a big bandwagon that everyone wants to hop on without seeing robby's work first hand, or at all for that matter. You can't keep grilling the guy for whatever discrepancies there were in the past, get the fuck over it. WAJ

^^^Agreed. Understand someone may have had a bad experience or maybe one that didn't go the way they planned but it seems like everyone jumped on the anti-Woolworth gig because it's the cool thing to do. I'm willing to bet most of you don't have first hand experience, you just know or heard a story about someone who didn't have a positive experience and took it as gold.

You can Google every major company on the planet and find someone babbling about how said company "ripped them off". For whatever reason it seems like everyone automatically discounts anything anyone has to say that's positive about their shop, yet bitterly clings to anything negative they can find.

That said, I personally had some cage work done at Vegas Steel and in spite of someone else not having a great experience, I had no problems with the work that was done. To each his own I guess, but the whole Woolworth gig seems really petty and high schoolish to me.

Only stuff I've seen was at the park prerunner meet two times ago if I remember right. There was getthisdone's partially welded "t intersection" bedcage and that other kid that had his truck there fresh out of woolworth's shop that had some questionable areas of the front end. I felt kinda bad for him cause I think he was new and didn't really know any better. I do all my work myself though so I don't really care. It's hack and I know it. I also have a fraction of the money into my truck compared to most and when it's running it puts a smile on my face so I guess that's okay...

What sense does that make? Why would you not want bolt on? 99.9% of the people out there have no need for anything fully custom and there's simple bolt on kits that are a million times simpler, cheaper/easier to install, etc... What's wrong with bolt on again? What's camburgs claim to fame? Don't they win championships on bolt on suspensions?

And btw... There's some southwest punk kid that builds some pretty clean parts that quite a few others will vouch for too.

BTW, this was 100% bolt in except for the upper shock mounts and seems to do just fine.

Have you seen camburgs bolt on f150 kit a full droop that thing has more clap then a beat up stripper. Plus they are all over priced... also ment it would be nice for a LOCAL shop to build a front end.. not have to buy a camburg or a bms

I guess I just don't really care where the parts I buy are made. I'm not region loyal, if I was I'd still be living where I consider "home" which is san diego.

Are you really basing camburgs parts on Beams??? Beams are crap in general!!! Common now get real... As much as I don't really like camburg because of their our shit doesn't stink ego, you'd have a really hard time convincing anyone that 99% of their product line isn't top notch and just as good as ANYTHING anyone in vegas is producing... And like I said, I'm actually in the Anti-camburg club but still... Shit, my old employer, SLR... COMPLETE ASSHOLE WITH SHITTY BUSINESS ETHICS but I'll give credit where due, he built some amazing products!!!!

edit... sorry, I didn't realize you meant that camburg kit... yeah, where's the limit straps. Strap that thing and it'll be good enough for 99.9% of the people out there. No need for center mount this or that and there's only so far you can push a front end based off stock pivits.

neato... you'll be the only one doing it so it must be right. What's funny is why doesn't anyone else do it? Obviously there's some BADASS 7 & 8 trucks out there running beams but they have to for class rules. When you take away the rules and toss in an open budget, why don't those guys build beamed trucks? Are they missing something that you know?

Nevermind... I'm totally convinced... Bolt on kits suck and could never work. Especially if camburg built. LOL

I gotta go puke now cause I just stood up for camburg!!! God I feel dirty!!!!
