not in colorado but wish I was. check out Gold Camp Road, or Rampart Range road. Those are 2 close to you that I can think of. Rampart range road freaked me out though. long way down if you miss the road. There is a lot to drive on out there, get a colorado atlas and some ohv maps and have fun. Check out Grand Junction for desert type terain. If you mountain bike or ride dirt bikes, go to Captain Jacks Trail. It is sweet! From there you can get to mt. rosa and if you get to the top it is one hell of a view.

Rampaprt range road is closed to trucks these days, LOL at least much of it, ATV, snowmobile, bike, only

Down South there should be some prerunning stuff, are you 2wd?

If you are 4x4 then you have ALOT of choices
Colorado RULES for wheeling, LOTS of wheeling down towards Peublo, Canyon City, New Mexico, etc

actually some of us do, LOL
outside Grand Junction is alot of high desert and open space you can drive on, 6 hour drive for you!

There is sand dune park in Colorado believe it or not, you can go drive on the dunes

Not sure what kind of 2wd stuff there is down south, but I do know it exists!!

CORE? hmmmm let us know what you find out about that place, instead of heading to an off road park out in teh flatlands, I usually just head to the mountains, although my wife and I have wanted to check Core out

From Monument take Mt. Herman Road up to Rampart Range Road and then go North from there. You can go for quite a ways and it is a lot of fun dirt sweepers. There are a bunch of smaller roads off of Rampart Range that are exciting.

Take Highway 24 to Woodland Park then Highway 67 north to Rainbow Falls. When you get off 67 stay right and there are tons of roads/trails back there that are fun in 2wd or you can get into some crazy 4x4 stuff too. Also really fun on dirtbikes. If you stay on the main road you will eventually reach Rampart Range Road again.
Who would ever want a drag strip when there are dirt roads everywhere?

hey man if your in colorado head down to platte and powers go east on platte(24) then hit the 94 east and there are some sand washes out there and kinda deserty areas haha i know what you mean bout nothing like glamis or octillo or even barstow im from huntington beach. And if you ever wanna build/upgrade your truck the only legit place(literally the only race/fab/prep) is C-Fab. His name is wayne demonja runs a 7s in BITD and he is a good guy. Haaha and if you go to the shop you'll probally see me there. Goodluch and welcome to COLORADO HOME OF THE "What you mean it's not 4x4??????"
