Even a few clouds make the pic much more better. Take a look at 94/366 and see what I mean (Click on the pic to enlarge it)

Learn and use the histogram, it will help avoid blowouts. Turn blinkies on too.

I suspect the lighting was flat already. Look for something that has lots of shadows and lots of highlights. Try shooting in midday

it was sunset and the sun was hitting it dead on. i felt that it wouldn't work cause i know i need a good amount of shadows to make it look good. but im going to try again tomorrow. i tried with my cat sleeping in the sun and there were plenty of shadows but the bastard moved and it was windy when i tried some of my truck so the branches of they tree looked funny. ehh better luck tomorrow . thanks for the info though![]()
Dead on light doesn't work too well. Try shooting a sunset and HDR that. It's cool coz you get the light, plus the forground

so whats everyone using for their setups? i was thinking of getting a new camera this summer, probably a Cannon EOS Xti unless you guys have any other suggestions. used for sports, scenery, some racing, and general fucking around.
its all about personal preferance i like my nikon a5 its from the 80s everything manual so im pretty much a crackhead
lenses is where id spend my money wide angle zoom and a 50mm and filters like red blue, polorized
so here's a pic I took on the Knobs on the New grill I got.

awesome, thanks for the help. i have a kodak p880 right now, but this summer i wanna upgrade to something better. definately a great camera to learn on.
The XT or XTi will work fine. Or the Nikon D40/D40x will work too if you're a Nikon guy, lol
What part? I think rolling up the film was the most fun, shaking it is boring, lol. However doing the darkroom stuff was rad
I have, what of it
Also, I need to get Photomatix, hugin, and AutoPano on my laptop. Anyone still have the codes for them?

how would i go about making a dark room and developing my own film?
its getting expensive developing my race pics cause i have so many
You want cheap, go digi. Seriously. $600 for a beginner SLR and another 30-50 for a cheap photo program like Adobe Elements and you're good. It's the Green thing to do, lol
